[Serah Farron] I don’t understand! [Caius Ballad] You don’t need to!
From the comic title I bet you thought it was a comic about Final Fantasy Tactics. Nope! It’s a comic about the tactics of Final Fantasy. Ha! (But don’t get me wrong, FFT: War of the Lions is one of my favorite games, in case The Adventures of Jimmy didn’t make that evident.)
I platinumed FFXIII-2 a week or so ago, about the same day Lightning Returns was announced. I don’t if I’ll get it yet, but I probably will, assuming I don’t have anything pressing to do at the time. I started liking Lightning even more once Ali Hillis voiced Palutena, because we all know how awesome Kid Icarus: Uprising is, right? Right.
i haven’t really enjoyed a final fantasy game since IX, the characters in x annoyed me (especially the main character) and i hated how you used summons same with X-2, XI just wasn’t what i want in an mmo, XII had a very boring storyline and the combat system bothered me, XIII was far too linear (as in the maps, literally run down this straight path, there is no exploration) XIV see XI’s explanation, i just want a good old turn-based combat, random battle, open world-map final fantasy again…
Yeah, I really didn’t like FFX either, so I didn’t even bother with FFX-2. The combat in XII took a lot of getting used to, but by the end of it I kind of loved it, and my goodness Balthier is the most awesome character ever, so I ended up really liking XII. I agree that XIII was literally linear, but for some reason I didn’t have a problem with that, and I felt the characters and story worked so well that I thought it was pretty great anyway. Oh that Snow, amirite?
i’ve just gravitated to the shin megami tensei games instead. but they havent made a current gen rpg yet. just P4 arena which is still very fun.
I was both happy and pissed that they decided to remake FFX. I love the game, but why the FUCK wouldn’t they remake VII, VIII, or IX first?! They’d make a fortune! *grumble grumble*
I think so too. And I understand why everyone loved it so much; it was a big step as far as Final Fantasy games went, and the first with actual voice acting. But I thought the characters and story were kind of meh, and the final boss annoyed me to no end. FFVIII on the other hand, I’ve never actually beaten…maybe one of these days I’ll buy it on the PS Store and give it a go. Dunno.
Yeah, the final boss was a huge letdown. Also, what was the point of Tidus? It wasn’t his story, it was Yuna’s! I liked the visual appeal and the monster gathering sidequest the most.
