You give the BUCKET from your BUCKET MINING SANTA HELMET to TRENT and ask for his GUN in return.

Um...let me hold onto it for now. To be completely honest I'm kind of afraid you'd accidentally fumble and shoot me with it since you're already holding two weapons and your inventory is full to boot.

FALCON PUNC--OWOWOWOWOW!! That kind of hurt, and the REINFORCED METAL DOOR doesn't budge an inch! In the meantime, TRENT calls over to you.

Um...Jimmy...did you ever turn this thing over?

You vaguely recall originally finding the BUCKET in BURAM VILLAGE. There looked like a hole had been cut in the bottom of the BUCKET and a smooth METAL PLATE was wedged in its place. But come to think of it, you never did examine the other side of the BUCKET. If the METAL PLATE was in place of a hole, that means it would also be on the other side.

Because, y'know, the other side of that metal plate thing has some indentations in it that actually match the outcroppings on the wall. I think this entire thing might be used as a switch...

TRENT places the BUCKET against the WALL with the METAL PLATE facing it and turns it. There's a faint clicking sound, and the WALL SAFE pops open! There appears to be another colored thingy and an OTHERWORLDLY LINE in there!

The OTHERWORLDLY LINE immediately flies into your INVENTORY to a place where you can't access it. TRENT seems stunned by this turn of events, but you reassure him that it's perfectly natural and has already happened before--twice, in fact!

TRENT picks up the brightly-colored object, at which point it flies into his MAGIC TAB. You both feel a strange sensation!

The first thing you both notice is that the MAGIC GAUGES have vanished from both of your MAGIC TABS, yet you still feel like you have magical abilities. TRENT mentions that he feels his MP is higher and that he could possibly cast FIRE now if he ever felt like it.
