I heard he was only there for a few episodes, then after that he would only do some specials.

I saw an episode yesterday, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely doesn't have the same old feel, but it's not bad at all.

For me Scrubs ended at Season 8.

Nice sly bump. But the season took awhile to get into, its like at the beginning of season 1 it took awhile to get into JD.

And the new character is (in my opinion) the same as Dr Who. They made it work by slowly easing into the new character.

Oh and JD is executive producer on the show, so he's still around.
