Denny, still running fast, glanced behind him to see a black hedgehog running towards him. Shadow?... No, it was Vinas. Denny reached where the invisible wall had... dissapeared?, and stopped, and waited a few seconds for Vinas to catch up. "So if I'm right, we'll be fighting our own spider, but it'll share a health bar. Shouldn't been too hard... it's a spider after all."

"Wait, of course we have to wait. I don't even see the thing we're supposed to fight anyway. Unless it's literally a spider." Xavia says to Jeff. She finds a several rocks and pockets them. "That should be enough to handle whatever this is. If not anything works." She says to herself. After making sure all her equipment is there she says again to Jeff "Just sit tight for a few minutes, as soon as this thing shows up. I'll start then..."

As Denny stopped, Vinas shot past him, and had to quickly turn around to get near him again.
"Eh, knowing Square it's probably going to be some sort of monstrous mutant spider with the fangs alone being the size of a small bus. Also, I think whoever made pacts are going to be fighting a spider together, with the spider having a shared health bar in every battle." Vinas said, as a micro Uzi appeared in both of his hands.

"For short, we'd better be prepared."

Walls shot up from the streets of the city and all of the players suddenly found themselves in a giant maze.

Kira's voice boomed through the television screen on the main building again.

"Change of plans... due to an unfortunate circumstance rat is no longer with us." Kira laughed lightly to himself on the screen. Everyone's phone (that kira had given them) vibrated. An image of Kira appeared on the screen. I'll have you tango for a bit in here while I think up a plan... Rat was supposed to control my lovely spider... so I'll have to come up with something new... by the way... watch out for traps... the best way to avoid them is to not think about them... anything harmful that you invision in this maze will happen... so I'd recommend you stop thinking about all of those poisonous darts that you're thinking about... you know... the ones that you're imagining coming out of the wall in front of you?"

Kira laughed again at his mindgame. the image of him on the phone shut off. Red letters appeared on the screen stating "Pacts Canceled: all players on their own"

OOC: The whole reason for using The World Ends With You was so that me and Rat could easily switch control around... but he's gone and I've been told to take charge. Welcome to my labyrinth.

Xavia stepped forward into the maze. "It looks rather plain to me. Lets just get through this so somebody else can have a turn ok? Just to be sure though... " She says and trails off pulling a card from her pack out and touching it to the ground with both hands. A ring of light appeared around her for a while and dozens of metallic butterflies flapped up from the ground. They fly in circles around her and she adds "I thought of this once but never had a chance to use it in one of our roleplays should anything happen like a rock falling, they'll link up and stop it." Shortly after, a well timed rock fell in, as planned the butterflies linked up and deflected the rock. "That's just my insurance, there's no need to think of stupid things just to test if we'll survive ok? Lets get goin." She says marching off into the maze.

As Xavia made the ring of light behind him, Jeff couldn't help but dwell on the idea Kira had stuck in everyone's heads. 'Poison darts?' Jeff's eyes, despite still being blind, jerked open as he pulled out his swallow and slashed the oncoming sound effects of the feathery tails of the darts out of the air. He got halfway before the butterflies linked and took care of the rest. Jeff curiously held a hand out to them to examine them, not knowing them to be there before. "They're... interesting."

Then they zoomed for the rock Xavia made fall down for her own test. It was only then that Jeff realized his problem. "Oh, joy... I'm the one constantly worrying about others, so if I picture one of them hurt, that trap will probably happen." Jeff sighed and shook himself from head to toe and tail. "Instead of thinking bad, I just need to think good... I can't make benifits happen, but I can keep from being the source of crap... I hope." Inwardly, Jeff pictured himself in his feline trot behind Xavia. He was always detailed enough in every thought that maybe, if he had to get TOO worried and invent a trap, he could be so specific that it would be harmless? Not worth testing, and luckily he had no specific idea in mind. He kept all his mental focus on the sounds of the butterflies instead... They were fascinating, after all.

The dark eyes narrowed and a smirk played across the face of the computermaster. "Of course I wouldn't think of it... playing one's imagination against himself or his partners..."

Jacob couldn't stop his ice slide fast enough and as soon as the labyrinth popped up Jacob smashed into a wall. Jacob picked himself up from among the ice shards that were around him, "whatever we think of happening to us actually happens, huh?" Jacob muttered to himself, "this should be easy enough" his Iceman form disappeared and he was back in his street clothes. Jacob basically flipped his brain off, instead daydreaming about what his friends and family would be doing back at home. Jacob figured that this way nothing would harm him because he wouldn't be thinking of anything popping out at him, he just had to avoid pictures and he'd be able to walk around the maze without a problem.

Jacob looked both possibly ways he could go, shrugged his shoulders and chose the path that lead of to the left.

OOC: btw this maze isn't much of a maze. just moving forward you'll eventually reach a flight of stairs that decends downwards. just sayin'. I've got plans for you all at the bottom of the stairs.

"ANYTHING harmful?" said Denny. "That's a little cruel, isn't it? May as well put us in a snake pit and... aw, s***."

Suddenly, many, many snakes appeared in the maze around Denny. "I'll need a way to fight them off I spose... This could be fun." Denny imagined a sword in his hand, only to have a sword appear, impaled in his hand. "...Wow." muttered Denny before roaring in pain.

Xavia heard the snakes hissing right after Denny's comment. She continued forward until hearing him scream and she looked back only to see the sword through his hand. She looks away quickly and walks away quicker, being light headed, she braces herself against the wall. "Lord... why does he always get himself into these situations. I'm gonna be sick..." She mumbles and comes to a stop in front of the stairs. "Guys there's... a stairway here. Lets just get out of here...

Kira looked at his terminal and saw that everyone had come close to the stairwell.

"Well well... so they survived that.. well that's good... I wouldn't want the fun ruined quite yet."

Kira typed in a few keys and in an instant he had an avatar sitting in the room below the stairs. The room had the basic design of a castle's dungeon. Skeletons chained against the walls and scratch marks in the wall made by fingernails. Kira stood in front of a door awaiting the arrival of his playthings while staring endlessly at the staircase to the ground level.

Jeff heard the screams and hisses, and knew instantly an ally was in pain while snakes were geared to attack. Xavia slumped against a wall as Jeff emerged, shedding his powers in a flash of light as he brought out his Tales of Symphonia disc. Holding it like it was a handle, he held both his arms out in front of him, aimed at Denny.

In an instant the disc turned into a shield, and a sword was in his other arm. His hair spiked out and shining wings appeared from his back, not attached but obviously his. "Sacred Powers, cast your purifying light upon these corrupt souls. Rest in peace, sinners!" Jeff was Kratos now, holding his blade out at the snakes. "Judgement!"

Beams of light blasted randomly around Denny, killing off the snakes before Jeff dashed to Denny and charged his magic again. "I won't let you die! Healing Wind!" A whirlwind of gentle magic cycled around Denny and Jeff. The blade came out and the wound on Denny's hand healed. Jeff sighed in relief. "That was close... as Kratos, I thought the worse I'd have to face is Raine's cooking."

As if to play the comic relief, one of each of the Tales of Symphonia dishes fell onto the ground, horribly prepared through Raine's complete inability to cook. "Eh... Don't eat that stuff, you'll get sick."

Jacob turned the corner and immediately saw the food on the ground. His stomach started growling, and Jacob couldn't help but try and think about the last time he ate some food. Jacob started walking towards the food, barely noticing Jeff, Denny, and Xavia. He stopped when his imagination caught up to him, he started wondering if the food was a trap and all the food would turn into giant mutant versions of the food. "Crap" Jacob muttered under his breath, and started shielding his body with ice as a rice ball launched itself at him. The rice ball landed on top of Jacob and he was smothered underneath it before gathering his strength and blasting the egg roll into pieces with an ice pillar. Jacob pulled himself up off the ground, ready for the next mutant food monster to attack him.

OOC: Are the dishes in ToS the same as the ones in tales of phantasia? Cause that's what I'm going off of.

OOC: Sandwich, Miso Soup, Spaghetti, Shortcake, Meat Soup, Seafood Soup, Ramen, Cabbage Roll, Tenderloin, Beef Stew, Gratin, Curry, Fruit Cocktail, Rice Balls.... Eh, that's about half of them.

Kira became impatient at the group and how long they were taking to get down a simple flight of stairs. It was time to take action into his own hands. A lever appeared next to the avatar of Kira and he pulled it yelling "STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR FOOD!!!!"

a moving belt appeared below everyone and quickly rushed them too the staircase at a speed that when the belt stopped the group was thrown down the stairs.

"You people are so ZETTA SLOW!!!"

Kira recomposed himself and looked at the group.

"This is going to be simple. 4 tests. You pass one test and one wall crumbles. There are 4 walls. Get through that fourth wall and there is a lever at the end. Pull that lever and whoever is still around will be restored to life."

Kira snapped his fingers and the floor turned into onyx.

"As long as you're standing on onyx your fears won't come into fruition. In other words you could picture your head ripping off right now and it wouldn't happen. Now... let's start out with a simple puzzle."

Kira grabs his right shoulder with his left hand and focuses his gaze at the group.

"I should tell you now. There's a drawback to the onyx floors. You can't create objects like you could outside."

Kira quickly digs his fingers into his shoulder and blood spurts out for a moment as his fingers dig in.

"I'll let you proceed if you fail a puzzle... but there is a drawback to that as well... you forfeit your entry fee..."

In one quick motion Kira's arm comes clean off as he rips it from his shoulder.

"You will lose that which is most important to you... or if I choose I'll take your life instead at the flip of a coin. This is a simple two piece puzzle. Put the pieces back together..."

Kira tosses his arm out onto the floor and it bursts into flames. The arm quickly becomes ashes and Kira laughs maniacally.

"There's an obvious answer here... but there are always other options now aren't there... Choose what you will do to proceed. A puzzle piece is missing... it'll have to be replaced... you'll have to make..."

Kira gives off a psychotic stare.

"a new one."

Jacob watched Kira disgustedly and then when Kira had finished, Jacob looked at each one of his companions, "I don't understand, but this guy has got problems". Jacob thought for a little bit, then looked up at the group, "so should we draw straws to see who loses the arm or does someone want to be chivalrous?"

Denny spoke up after Jacob was done. "I slightly wish Grant hadn't been... err, kicked off the island, because this new guy is flippin' INSANE. Anyways, he kept mentioning some sort of puzzle, but I've got no idea what he's blabbin about. Anyone got any ideas?"

"Not a clue, honestly." Vinas said, reverted back to human form due to the oynx floor. "But seriously, I have to agree on the insane part, I mean, what sane person would tear off their own arm? Oh yeah, and set his allies into what could be best described as an elaborate deathtrap? I mean, mine was challenging, but I set it up in such a way that, if you died, you would simply respawn in a nearby safe building."

Vinas grabbed his backpack, and pulled a small Swiss army knife out of the front, stuffing it in his pocket for more immediate use.

"Anyway, I think the best course of action would be to move together, as we'll be able to use our combined imaginations against what Kira'll throw at us. Of course this will create more chance of the "danger imaginations" to happen, but we've no clue what Kira's planning besides that, so it's probably our best bet. Opinions?"

Jeff looked curiously at Vinas as he reverted. The onyx floor disabled new creations, not old ones. But, from what he gathered, the answer was simple. "A two piece puzzle, Kira and his arm. We need to find a way to give him an arm back, even though this floor keeps us from creating something new with our imaginations."

Jeff smirked a little. "It's a bit too easy... Here's a lesson in chemistry. When something burns to ashes, it loses energy and the elements are both in the ash or the air. So the worst we could have done, by now, is breath in a bit of the things like oxygen that came from his arm. Xavia... You alchemized metal into butterflies, it wouldn't be considered creating if we both used what's already in the room to provide the materials."

Jeff held his arms out and concentrated. "I'll bring some air in this room together for a weak Spread spell, you take the materials and energy to make an arm." His mana reached its peak, his control over the moisture in the room built, and he knew inside it was enough to give Xavia what she needed... He readied the cast, if she agreed with the plan.

Kira laughed at the plan to use alchemy. And pointed two fingers at Jeff.

"Your plan would have been ingenious had that arm been of real human composition. However you'll find I'm not flesh and blood. The real me is sitting safely at the terminal. What you've seen happen is merely one image being destroyed and quickly replaced by another at a speed too quick for the eye to judge. It's a trick I learned when I first started programming games. It's easier to just switch the object than to modify the old."

A coin appeared between the two fingers that Kira was pointing at Jeff.

"If I was going to modify the original object I wouldn't have needed to rip it off of my body. I could have just edited part of myself..."

Kira flipped the coin into the air.

"You presented an answer and the answer was wrong... I could wait for you to try it but then I'd have to punish two of you... So I'm stopping you right here."

The coin fell on the floor and Kira stepped on it without even looking to see what it landed on.

"Your punishment... is your entry fee... that which mattered most to you in your life... no longer exists."

Kira put held out his hand in a gesture as if presenting a question.

"I'm sure you realize this already... but the punishment left for you is death. I can make it so that your life will not be restored at the end of this game... or... maybe I'll have mercy on you again and think of something else."

Kira turned away from the group and walked towards the wall they were meant to break.

"As I'm sure you realize... I'm not limited by the effects of this room. That's because my real body isn't around this material. But don't worry it's good that your real bodies are here. The lever in the final room couldn't restore you back to life if you weren't in the final chamber."

Kira looked over his shoulder at Vinas.

"It's only a deathtrap if you allow it to be."

Kira put his hand on the wall.

"I may have to break you myself... why must people always over think things that are so simple? I was hoping nobody would get hurt... but I won't get the luxury."

Kira looked at the group again.

"Pick a solution and use it. I'm growing impatient."

Kira snapped his fingers and in an instant the staircase rose becoming part of the ceiling. The room becomes lit from an unknown source.

"The clock is ticking"

And with that the Ceiling appear as though it was coming closer and closer at the group

"This is no fairy tale. People will be hurt. People will suffer. You'll be lucky to leave this place with your mind in-tact. I've already murdered two players. I don't advise letting there be a third."

OOC: Kikori I want to talk to you about something when we get a chance. It's about how this will all wrap up. I was hoping it could wait but things aren't going as smoothly on here as I thought so I'm going to need to talk to you about the effects of what happens in this scenario such as death and mutilations.
