Worth coming back? :/

I'm pretty bored right now, can't really be bothered with the likes of WoW etc. anymore, I just don't have the time and it's all getting pretty old to me. Is it worth me renewing my membership to play Runescape again with the new HD settings?
I'm worried that HD mode runs slowly despite my computer being able to handle the likes of Crysis on 'average' settings. The login page seems quite jumpy. Is this a known problem or does it sort itself out ingame?

I'm not bothered about the £3 or whatever it costs to play, I would just rather not waste it for nothing. (I only want to play in full screen mode, otherwise I'm not interested in the game, it's too ugly for me these days).

Game runs fine for me and my computer isn't exactly great, 1.5ghz, 1.2gig ram and I don't even know what my video card is.

As for coming back, the game is essentially the same, so at first it will probably be cool to play since everything looks new and great, but after a while you'll realize that it's still the same game and you will probably (I think) stop playing again for the same reasons you did in the first place (unless your reason was graphics I guess)

1.2 gig ram, that's well over great, of course your speed isn't brilliant, but it's ok.

on topic:

i wouldn't come back for the graphics, nothing too special about them. as for the game running smooth, it should, the only thing that lags for me is the loading screen.

Unless your graphics card has over 128MB, I'd advise staying away from HD, it'll have a very low frame rate.
However, FullScreen mode looks incredible compared to any RS there's ever been. It's definitely a sight worth seeing.

I never ventured into the wilderness anyway, I'm not bothered about that! I just want a break from the bigger MMO's, something more casual and cheaper ^^

The login screen is a bit laggy for me, my computer is alright though (3ghz p4.. 3gig ram, 512mb 3650HD graphics card.) It's not my specs, I just wanted to know if the login screen is a bit jumpy for some others as well, and that the actual game runs fine.

I recommend you wait for High Detail beta to end, so that non-members get access to it, and try it out first before you pay any money.

That'd be wiser in saving money. ^^

The log in screen is always jumpy for me, so it's likely it'll run just fine for you. However, there are a lot of options that can really eat up your graphic card's power, so try turning some of the graphic options off (you can do it straight from the log in screen)

I just payed the £3 and now realise why I quit in the first place. My character still runs all over the place, I think i prefer other games and their smooth animations/controls. Hah. Oh well, I might mess around on it for a month.

Really not worth it. If you're bored of WoW you won't enjoy RS. Try playing a fast paced FPS like Counter-strike Source.

I went to check out HD and then realised you has to be a member, ended up buying membership and ive been hooked the past week. Don't even play on HD

Really your choice. Play F2p for a bit, see if you feel like getting back into the game or not.

WEll the graphics improved, my friends mostly didn't play because of the graphics and now they're more interested. Theres also alot more for free members to do now.
