OOC: Tahu, do I even have to say it anymore? >_<!

IC: "Hmm, if it's like what they use in your world, couldn't you somehow make it into something that can carry more than one person?" Sora asked the Arbiter, still carefully following the trails on the ground.

After some more walking, the forest finally began to clear again, and a town came in sight. "At last..." Sora muttered.

"Okay, once we're in town, we'll split up to find some clues, and regroup at these gates, 'kay?" They were now standing in front of the town's open gates, which seemed to be made of some sort of black crystal. "With some luck, we'll find our way to Norfees from here, and then; home."

OOC: Sorry. Link's short and to the point. Can I help that? (Yes, I know, I can, but then I could get ragged at again for not staying in character.)
BIC: Walking at a slow but purposeful pace, Link headed immediately for the local general store, which was (almost surprisingly) not a Malo Mart. First things first: he looked over the wares and saw not a single bomb, arrow, or even a bottle of potion. Furthermore, they were using some sort of round metal pieces for currency instead of rupees, so no way to buy things here.

Jak walked through the town. He came upon a shop that made metal items. He went inside. A man inside said, "Hello. What can I do for you today?" Jak said, "Well, I need some help with my hoverboard." Jak pulled out his hoverboard. "I need to make it fit at least four people. Do you think you could help me with that?" The man looked at the hoverboard and said, "I have never seen anything like this before. I think, though, that if I could look at the engine, I could figure out how to replicate it and add more to the board with more space for more people. I have a photographic memory for things like that." The man takes the hoverboard and studies the underside, then opens it and studies the engine. The man said, "Ah, I thought this would be complicated. I'll have the materials in here in a jiff." He hands Jak his board. The man rushes into a back room, and a few seconds later comes out carrying many things. He starts constructing something, then another, and another. When he is finished, before him, besides Jak's, are three hoverboards. He says, "I couldn't figutre out how to add more room to your hoverboard, but I knew I could make more. Here you go." The man hands Jak the hoverboards. "You know," said the man. "That you do not have to pay me. Just showing me that was payment enough. Have a nice day." Jak left and started looking for the others.

OOC: Yeah, I know I forgot to, but here's a short description of the city we're at. Anyway, I'm going to be introducing a new party member to the, err, party. Some of you might know him, the others should go watch Death Note.

Anyway, the town is fairly futuristic, like things people would expect for the year 2050 in real-life, and most buildings are made from a white, always clean version of the crystals of the gate, except for one small building, which is made of common stone, and where I'm about to go.

IC: "Where to go, where to go." Sora said to himself, looking at the strange buildings. They reminded him of the World That Never Was, sort of. Wandering through the streets, he eventually found a small, stone building amidst all the large crystal ones. Surprised by this sudden change of scenery, Sora tried the door, and found that it was locked. However, a small click was heard, and a voice from inside said "Come in."

"Although I'm commonly known as "L", you can call me Ryuuzaki." The man said once Sora opened the door.

"Okay then, Ryuuzaki, where exactly are we? I'm Sora, by the way." Sora asked.

"I'm not too sure myself, I only briefly ago woke up here." L replied, while eating some candy. "Though I'm fairly sure we're not on Earth anymore, let alone Japan."

"Earth? What world is that?" Sora asked.

"Ah, you confirmed my theory just now."

"Say, Ryuuzaki was it? Want to go with me and my friends? We're trying to find our way back."

"No, I'd rather stay here and investigate for a way myself, though you could help me with my investigation. Take this" L gave Sora a mobile phone "You'll be able to contact me with this, and vice versa. Tell me when you know something, and I'll do the same."

"Sure. One last question though; have you ever heard of a place called Norfees? I've heard there's someone there who knows how to get back."

"I'm afraid not, Sora. I'll look into it though." L looked at Sora. "It's getting late, you should go back to your friends now."

"Oh! Right. Thanks!" Sora said, leaving again, and the door closed automatically.

On his way back, Sora put the cellphone into his pocket, and began looking for his friends. Not much later, he found Jak again. "Man, have I got to tell you something!" He said, and told him all about his encounter with L.

BIC: Wandering around town, Link was unable to find any of the little hideouts for resistance movements that normally dwelled in the shadow of large castles. Then again, there wasn't a large castle. Out of ideas, he wandered around town some more.

Fighter didn't know what to do in this town so began to run around aimlessly, untill he turned a corner and *smack* ran right into Jak.

Jak sighed after running into Sora, then having Fighter run straight into him. He said, "Well, here is three of us. Here, Sora, you take this hoverboard. Here is one for you too, Fighter. Let's search for Link and Arbiter."

BIC: Just then, Link wandered upon the rest of the party and noticed the extra whatever they were that Jak said were transport machines. They looked like the ice sleds Link had gone racing on a few times on Snowpeak mountain.

Jak laughed because at that moment Link found them. Jak said, "Here, Link. I found a guy for hoverboards. He couldn't make more room on mine, so he made more. Now we just need to find the Arbiter."

The Arbiter had been walking through the town, not sure of where he was headed. Suddenly, he noticed that he was lost. Thinking quickly, he jumped up on the roof of a nearby building to survey the area (and hopefully find where he was). He walked across the roof, scanning the rooftops for any sign of where the others were. He didn’t notice that he had walked from the roof to a small ledge which hadn’t been designed to support his weight. It gave way, dumping him to the street below. Looking around, he spotted the rest of the group standing a few feet away.

BIC: As the Arbiter landed, Link accepted a hoverboard from Jak. "It seems like a cross between an ice sled and my spinner. Interesting method of transportation."

"Cool, a flying skateboard." Sora said, trying it out. Then, he heard some sort of jingle come from his pocket, and fell from the board in surprise. "Ow..." He said, as he got out the item that caused the sound; the cellphone L gave him.

"L here." The voice that came out the voice was far different from what the real L sounded like, and seemed to be modified to some extent. "I haven't been able to find this Norfees place yet, but I'd like you to investigate something for me. Go to the northwest of this town, I'll send you a map of this place on your phone. You'll get more information when you arrive there." L hung up, and a map appeared on the screen, with an X to the northwest of where they were.

OOC: You'll be allowed to enter one of your antagonists now. Top and Rat, please discuss who will be the first to use theirs THROUGH PM, and PM me with your decision. Also, please don't make them appear before L explained the situation further when we arrive there.

BIC: "What was that?" Link asked. He'd heard vaugely of Gossip Stones that allowed people to talk over long distances, but the thing that Sora held wasn't a stone.

OOC: I'm going to skip ahead a bit, we'll be going nowhere if we just stay stuck in this little city. Also, we'll be going to even less places than no-where if no-one posts. :-s

IC: "He called it a "cellphone" I think" Sora said, as he looked at the map curiously. "Well, I think we better get going."

After a few minutes of hoverboarding (Which went easier for some people than others) Sora could've sworn he saw a glint of both a purple and black cloak flashing by in the bushes, when the cellphone jingled again.

"L here. I've promised to give you more information when you arrived, so listen well." The voice said, and Sora motioned for the others to be quiet while he turned on the speaker, so everyone could hear him.

"Well, I don't have too much information on this guy, but I know he likes to make people feel pain, he likes it a lot. Also, he has some heavy weapons, so watch out. Try to capture him alive, but only if it doesn't get deadly to you. Value your lives over success."
The call ended there.

OOC: Go ahead. The person I'm talking about should know what to do.

BIC: After a few wobbles, Link found it easier to ride the board in his wolf form. Because of this, he heard the conversation over the "cellphone" Sora had, talking to someone named L. Transforming back to human so he could talk to everyone else, Link asked "Anyone have any experience with bounty hunting? If we can get some of his scent, I could track him, but we don't even know what he looks like."

Jak listened to the call. "You know," said Jak, "that thing is something like what we have where I come from. But also, I wonder who the person this L guy was talking about is, and where he is?"

The Pain was walking. He was searching, for something he did not know, but he knew when he found it, he would cause it pain. Looking ahead, the Pain saw a road in the distance, with a group of people on it. The Pain laughed, then ran foreward, letting his bees fly around.

Hornets began to surround the group, nearly completely obscuring their view. Fighter was the first to speak, with a completely Out of Character shout of...

"What the HECK?" Fighter began to rapidly swing his sword about, in an attempt to clear the hornets. "Whoever's behind this, show yourself!"

BIC: Hornets. Mentally running through his list of items, Link came up with...nothing. However, if he could just draw the attention of the insects... Running away from the group, Link waved his arms and tried to get the hornets to follow him, and they did. Now surrounded by them, Link took out his ball and chain and started to whirl it around, smashing away as many bugs as he could.
