well.. i'm sorry I missed this event... i really wanted to be there today with it being the last drop party-- at least for a while... hopefully this is something that jagex can get resolved in the future....

As many of you know, RV was once famous for our legendary drop parties-- parties so big they'd crash servers at Jagex... and today's party seems to have been a fitting and worthy successor to those parties of yesteryear, and really took us out in style.

I'd like to give a special thanks to our most excellent Events Team who pulled off this event... I know they spent hours in planning, promotion, and gathering the donations to make today's party work....

I'd also like to thank the donors, who gave so freely and such wonderful 'stuf' ....

And i'd also like to thank all the Villagers who were able to attend-- YOU are what RuneVillage is all about...

Hopefully in the future the Events Team will be able to come up with some new and different events that will continue the fun, in spite of the new limitations...

Let's have the RVET stand up and take a bow!

Dr Henry, Dustin, Jaron

And some who helped out with this event
Justin
Tau_xi
Mackerel
Agent Orange
Willowguy
Stimpy
Tyler
The123King

Hope i didn't forget anyone!

Once again, great job by the RVET!!

happy trails,

8)

Thank you, hiker! Gathering the donations was quite possibly the toughest part, because for every item we were given, we had to find another item that would be dropped in its place--one that no one would be able to cheat by already having it in their banks. In the end, unfired clay items and burnt fish seemed to work pretty well. The Team Wilderness Capes becoming F2P also saved us a ton of grief. :P

I hope so as well. Today's event was a perfect example of taking lemons and making lemonade, so to speak.

The topic will be deglobaled within the next few hours, but will preside in the Party Forum for a few more days after that. There already seems to be a picture thread in General Pictures, too.

As hiker said, thanks again to everyone that came--it's not a great event without the people that attend it!

As I stated in the other post. Our events team did it's best and look how it turned out, You can see our dedication to this prestigious village. We will continue to make event interesting, we'll also do our best to try to find a way to give rewards.

Thank you for everyone who attended the event. The only thing I regret is that this is our last drop party that will be private. ='( *shed's a tear*

Thank you everyone,
With much love,
Tyler

Good job all, I was just looking through the pictures topic, looked like fun :D

I remember it was the 2003 fall party that made me join RV in the first place, albeit after a fair amount of lurking ^_^; Those were the days :D

I had fun dropping all the bowls ^_^

And giving away 2 rune plates for an unfired pot is an experience... :-s

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.

Yes, Hiker m'dear you forgot our beloved The123King. I edited his name onto the list though.

I'd like to thank the rest of the RVET for helping to make this Final Drop Party one to remember!

BUT I would mainly like to thank Jaron. He suggested the idea to us in the first place (although he may have got it from someone else) and he did the majority of the organising, such as researching the prices of things to drop under 3k, and matching these items to the proper prizes.

Great Job everyone! I hope you all enjoyed it!

So.. out of curiosity, what was exchanged for the blue mask and santas?

I'm sorry I missed it as well. Sad to see the day of huge RV bashes ending. I'm sure we can work something like this out in the future again, but I think Jagex has gone too far considerably with their anti-seller policies.

Burnt chicken for the santa, dunno about the mask.

Great party, I loved the idea of exchanging items, although it was confusing at the end.

Noted, low-leveled, burnt items. They were noted because we could drop all five burnt items at once, so even if anyone saw the item on the ground, they couldn't try to claim it without showing me the exact right amount (which you can't tell without picking up the item. :))

I got 15k for a burnt chicken. >:O

I did have 7 noted unfired bowls, but that got me 14 rune kites. :D

Great job, RVET!

I missed the event by about 4 hours (was on a long car ride), but I'm sure it was amazing. :)

I hope everybody had fun with Runevillage's last private drop party.

I sure had fun helping with it! :)
