Guys stop making pathetic excuses, Wireless runs at 54 mb/s Locally, Unless your internet connection is faster than that or you do have REALLLY poor signal its not gonna effect it.

37/98, ping was over 400. I just love how I'm still sitting in the neolithic age of internet connections with a 56k smashed sardine tin for a modem. In case you're wondering, YES, this is why I'm pissed off all the time! Because the only ISP I can get charges inconceivable rates for the most rudimentary broadband in the universe, so I'm stressed with taking ten minutes to download one god damned 1280x1024 screenshot of Mass Effect to the point where I feel like walking into their offices with an AMT pistol and filling everyone's damn head with so many bullets that they contort into pasty crimson blood-spewing lumps of slime splattered all over the walls and sending pictures of the resulting mess to their families in this year's Christmas cards!

No idea where AOL's servers are, I live in London but the recommended server was in Maidenhead. I did both anyway :-s

Not bad seeing as my house probably has more eletrical interferance than most. I have a 2.4ghz transmitter in my room which I use to send sky downstairs without needing multiroom 8-[ Also my dad is a broadcast technician so we have a crapload of radio transmitters, wireless cameras and microphones etc that he fixes and consequently tests.

He lives in sweden, one of the places with proper internet. North America has a realy low kb/s average compared to other places oddly enough in my opinion. Image

think about which you use more

and also ISPs don't tell you what their upload speeds are, they sell packages based on download speed ;)

look at how much tiscali throttle my connection at peak times
