I recently started the Bleach series and I love it so far! I read 6 volumes of the manga then just started watching the anime where the manga left off. Right now I'm on Episode 32. I think it rivals FMA as my favorite anime so far!

Soooo, anyone else watch/read/dream/eat/draw/*insert random verb here* Bleach? (I just finished episode 31 so I'm still in amazement )

Yeah I watched until like 78 or something, the Bountu series or whatever, then I kind've lost interest. Although my friend says the next arc after the Bountu series is really cool with like Ichigo's dad and stuff, so I might pick it up again.

That's because the Bount Arc was filler.

starting with..110 I believe, it's actual plot.

It only took me like a month to finish the whole arc. It was impossible for me to just watch one episode a day. It was so climatic . Going to start watching it again, might watch a few of the fillers in the next arc then just skip to the actual story. I actually haven't watched any anime in the last 2-3 months >.>.

I breathe Bleach. I watch the subbed and dubbed anime every week, along with the newest chapters of the manga. My favorite character is definitely Grimmjow. He just screams awesome.

And for all of you who didn't skip ahead past the filler, shame.

Anyone know how much longer Bleach will be in filler?
If anyone else hasn't noticed, I think the last 2 or 3 episodes, as well as the next 2 at least, are filler.

I can't say Bleach is great. It's better than some anime, but worse than a lot of anime too.
Pretty much the best part are the badass bankai fights, but when those aren't happening, it's usually pretty dull, meaning most of the time, it's pretty dull. I don't really like how long it takes for stuff to happen. They could easily have compressed the current 130+ eps into at least 70 if not less. And that's with the fillers included. Idealy, they should've just took a break from airing Bleach to let the manga get ahead, or should've gone ahead with their own storyline like FMA.

Everything I said also applies to Naruto.

So, all action and no plot would make it better? haha. NOEZ.

Bleach's "plot" could be told at a much quicker rate. And I don't know how you consider it, but I think that who won each fight is part of the plot. Either way Bleach is a fighting anime, I have other anime for plot, but in the way of characters, I at least expect it to rival Yu Yu Hakusho which is pretty much replaced, yet so far I still think Yusuke was a far better character than Ichigo will ever be, and the same goes for the most of the chars from YYH.

And yes, filler's when they insert arcs not in the manga, just to allow the manga to get ahead of the anime so they have material to make new anime eps from. The arc I'm talking about is the one with the arrancar who could multiply and make clones of himself. Are you telling me this arc was seriously in the manga?
The whole arcs a joke and introduces two random characters for no reason who it then gets rid of. If this was seriously in the manga, I'd laugh.

Anyway, I'm not saying Bleach is completely terrible. It does improve the fighting genre in terms of fighting abilities and just fighting style in general I'd say, as well as, as long as it's fights are, they're way better than the 10 episodes fights of DBZ or even the YYH fights which were pretty repetitive. It's just it hasn't done anything to make it the best anime ever like everyone seems to suggest. It hasn't even perfected the genre yet either. What Naruto and Bleach have both done in fact, is introduce so many one-sided characters that everyone can relate to one, but the result is very few of them have multiple sides, and aren't really what you'd call dynamic chars.

The things about Bleach that are most frustrating though is how it continues the stupid notion of fighting being like a game or something. We have tons of characters who just fight for "fun" all the time, and if they're about to win, they just let the other guy live. In fact, that's something Bleach could use more of: character deaths. Maybe it's just me, but I personally can't name an important Bleach character who has died so far right off the top of my head.

Edit: Oh just realized you may have been talking about what I said by shortening the series. Yes I know it'd kill the purpose of filler to make it shorter. I'm just saying they over extend unimportant and often uninteresting scenes, both in filler and nonfiller eps.

Still, it's always annoying with fillers.

I've really been getting into bleach over the past week; up to somewhere in the 60's now. Bount arc's a bit dull, but once thats over it should get fantastic again.
