Pick up the shield and right click a nearby loom. Select use shield with loom, and the shield will have string on it magically. Examine it and it will reveal that it spells out a message, It will say:
Go talk to the Emo Ghost of Death.

After you go to Varrock, you will meat the EGD in a house next to the Lumbridge Church. He will tell you about his untimely death and criticise players for the ability to respawn. He will tell you about a magical amulet that will resurrect him.
Right click him and select the ability Throw Food at.
He will go emo and start crying.
Then he will curse you so you can die for exp and 1 book on the fun of dying.
Go to the ghost and he will give you rewards for the book for cheering him up and stopping him from being emo.

-A Professional starer appears and is in dire need of some assistance! Somehow, he has gotten an "evil" towel wrapped around his eyes! Just talk to him and accept to help him and pull off that nasty towel! If you ignore him, your staring 'skillz' will be temporarely disabled. If you do help him, you will receive "staring glasses" that when worn, allows you to not be noticed staring at others!
-When staring, your eyes may start to tear. If this happens, just use a a peice of cloth and wipe them tears off your eyes and get back to staring![hr]

Note that I worked this out similar to a Knowledge Base Article.
[hr]

Today, we have finally released the newest skill. We spent some time making it, so we hope you like it.
This new skill, Drinking, combines a lot of different aspects of the game in one skill, and it is sure worth it to get level 99 drinking *hic*

Note: Non Members are finally able to profit from this newest skill too. They will be able to drink all the things that are for non members too. In the Knowledge Base articles, you can easely see what drinks are suited for members only.
[hr]
[hr]
Drinking, the basics.
[hr]
Drinking can be started without any other skill, though cooking is quite handy to have. You will find that you need Drinking in a lot of different skills, you can't go without some drinking levels. So what are you waiting for? Cheers!

If you drink, some of the drinks will lower stats. If the stats that it lowers get to 0, you can't drink anymore, untill you have recovered from that. You will be unable to drink anymore.
Most of the drinks can only be drunk when poured into a beer glass, or coctail glass, though for some drinks that is different.

To start drinking, open your mouth, and drink. Just be careful not to get drunk!

[hr]
[hr]
Drinking: Drinks.
[hr]

The first drinks that you will be able to drink are water and milk. Both can be drunk on level 1 drinking and are available for non members too.
Water can only be drunk from a bowl, while milk can only be drunk from a bucket.
Water gives 2 xp when drunk, milk gives 5 xp.
Water and milk have no temporary stat effects

[hr]

At level 4 drinking comes the delight of Chocolate milk. It can be made with the cooking skill (by adding chocolate dust to milk). This can also only be drunk from a bucket.
Chocolate milk gives 10 xp in drinking. It has no temporary stat effect.
Chocolate milk is members only.

[hr]

Tea:
All teas are only for members.

At level 6 drinking, you will be able to drink normal tea, stolen from the tea stall at varrock. This tea gives 15 xp when drunk.

When you advance to lvl 9 drinking, you will be able to drink player made nettle tea. This gives a whopping 50 xp in drinking, though be warned, this item can only be aquired by making it yourself.

Guthix rest tea can be drunk at level 50 drinking. It gives 200 drinking xp, though you can only drink one per 10 minutes.

[hr]

Wine:
All wines can be drunk by every member with the required Drinking level.
Bad wine:
Bad wine is something strange to drink. You can drink it at level 2 drinking, it gives only 5 drinking xp, but when you have advanced to level 10 drinking, you character knows the difference between bad wine and good wine, so you are not able to drink it any more.

Normal wine can be drunk from level 10. It gives 20 drinking xp, and from the moment you drunk your first normal wine, you are no longer able to drink bad wine any more.

A jug of half wine is a precious item. You can not drink it untill you are level 70 drinking, but it does give 10.000 drinking xp!

[hr]

Beer:
One of the main things involved in drinking is beer. There are a lot of different types of beer, and they can all be drunk using the drinking skill. Though mind yourself, and don't drink too much, for if you do, you get drunk yourself, and you will not find yourself able to drink any longer.
All beers can only be drunk from a beer glass or a keg.

You can start drinking beer with normal beer at level 10. This can be found in a lot of pubs along RuneScape. It adds a little to strength, and substracts some from your attack. Normal beer gives 10 xp and is also suited for non members.

Cider can be drunk at level 14. It decreases your attack and strength, while raising your farming a little. It gives 20 xp. Cider is Members only.

At level 19 drinking, you can drink a dwarven stout. This raises your mining and smithing a little, but lowers your attack and strength. Drinking a dwarven stout gives 25 drinking xp. A Dwarven Stout is a highly favoured drink on a lot of non members servers too.

Only one level later, at level 20, you can drink the infamous Asgarnian Ale. It does the same as a normal beer, though it gives 30 xp. Unfortunately, this is members only.

At level 25 drinking, you can advance to the Greenman's Ale. It raises your herblore, but lowers both attack and strength as defence. This very needed item for herblorists gives 50 drinking xp. This is also members only.

The next beer that you can drink is something that can't be missed by mages. At level 30 you will have the ability to drink the Wizard Mind Bomb. It raises a few magic levels but lowers attack, strength and defence. Giving 60 drinking xp, this is nice for non members too.

At level 36, Dragon Bitter is a treacherous drink. It doesn't only raises your strength and decreases your attack, there is also a random chance that a few hitpoints damage are dealt. Though it gives 70 xp. This is a members only drink.

A Moonlight Mead is also not a very common drink. It can be found in Canifis, or it can be brewed. It heals 4, but since it is such a grosse drink, you can only drink one per day, and you can not drink an other one, if you haven't drunk something else in between. However, use it as often as you can, because this drink gives you a whopping 200 drinking xp! You need level 42 drinking for a Moonlight Mead, and non members aren't able to drink it.

An other non members drink is the level 49 drink, the Axeman's Folly. It raises your woodcutting, while reducing attack and strength. An Axeman's Folly gives 75 xp.

Drinking ends for non members at level 55. You can drink the Chef's delight. It is the highest level drink available for non members. It raises your cooking from 1 to 5 levels, but it lowers attack and strength. However, giving 100 drinking xp, it is a nice way of training for non members. Offcourse you can drink half jugs of wine too, at level 70, but here at Jagex office, we are sure that you don't want that.

The last member beer is the level 60 drink. A slayer's respite is a nice refreshment for a true slayer master, since it not only involves level 60 drinking, but also lvl 40 slayer to drink. It gives an extra temporary slayer level and 95 drinking xp. But it lowers your attack and strength a little.

[hr]

For the experienced drinker, there are the gnome coctails.
Made by cooking or bought in the gnome stronghold, these are the ultimate drinking refreshments. Offcourse there are stat effects, but we will not reveal them. A true drinker is able to find those out themselves.

Coctail drinking starts at level 50 drinking with the Fruit Blast. It gives 90 drinking xp

At level 55 you can drink the Pineapple Punch, which gives 100 xp.

Reaching level 60 gives you the ability to drink the Wizard Blizzard. This drink gives 120 Drinking xp.

Level 68 is illustrated with the Short Green Guy - the SGG. Giving 150 drinking xp, this gnome coctail is well worth it.

The Drunk Dragon and the Chocolate Saturday can both be drunk at level 75 drinking. The drunk dragon gives 180 xp, the Chocolate Saturday gives 200. However, you can not drink two of these after each other, you need to drink something else. Also you can not drink a DD and an CS after each other.

At level 85 Drinking, there is the ultimate refreshment for an experienced drinker. The recipy of this drink has long been secluded, and is still copyrighted to Blurberry.
We are talking about the famous Blurberry Special. This drink gives 250 xp, but you can not drink it more then once per hour.

[hr]
[hr]
Drinking, extra features:
[hr]

The Barcrawl.
At level 50, you can do the Barbarian Barcrawl, which gives you acces to the Barbarian Outpost. Completing the barcrawl gives a nice boost of 1000 drinking xp, though it can only be done once.
Note that if you have already done the barcrawl, you can do it again to get the drinking xp, but only at level 50. However, if you have already done the barcrawl, it is not required to do it in order to acces the Outpost.

[hr]

The Skillcape.
Everyone knows that barbarians well know how to have a drink. The barbarian that gives you the barcrawl will also be the skill master for it.
[The skillcape emote: You will take two glasses of beer, and drink them both at the same time]

[hr]

A Drinking Minigame:
This minigame is still being worked on. Take a look at this place and offcourse the front page, to see when this minigame came out.

[hr]
[hr]
Drinking: FAQ
[hr]

Q: Is this skill members only?
A: No, some parts of drinking are also for non members. Take a look at the Drinks part of this Knowledge Base article, to find out which drinks are also for non members.

Q: Are there more drinks available then those listed?
A: Yes, there are a few. However we will not tell you which ones those are, and we will not tell details on them.

Q: And how about Mature Ales?
A: Mature ales have the same drinking requirements as normal ales, though they give double xp, and are members only.

Q: Why can't I drink this beer that I was able to drink just before?
A: Some drinks lower stats. If those stats are at 0, you can not drink the drink any more, untill natural regeneration, or potting has brought this skill up again.

[hr]

This concludes my drinking skill. If there are things that I should add, please tell me. I am currently looking for inspiration about the drinking minigame mentioned, but I have the feeling that pirates and barbarians have something do do with it.

If you have any comments or ideas, please post them.

Cheers!
Elanthiel.

introducing the:

scareiness skill!!

ever wondered why players always laugh at your halloween costumes?
ever wondered why you only scare hans?

this is the skill for you!

to start: speak with a 'scary ghost' npc in draynor manor in the exit room
talk to him. he scares you- ask him how- he needs a 'ghostie costume' to make for you- the ingredients are:

5 balls of wool
black spot patches (use a knife on a black cape)
needle and thread

bring them to him and he makes you a 'scary ghost costume' and tells you to scare that girl outside who starts the ernest the chicken quest.

go to her and wear the costume, right click her and select the 'scare' option. she will laugh at you.

she says you are not realistic enough so go back to the ghost. he says to go to professor oddenstein.

talk to the professor, he needs a gold ring and a silver bar, bring him those and he makes a scaryness ring. now go back to the girl who starts ernest the chicken and wear the costume and ring and choose the scare option. she will be scared! you reveal yourself and she says you were great! quest complete!

reward: costume and ring
250 scaring xp! (enough for level 3)

time to scare!

over time you can level and scare more people but you sometimes need more advanced costumes! i shall explain them

level 3:ghostie (you have this)
level 15: scarecrow(take a normal farming scarecrow to ghost that started quest)
level 30: skeleton or vampire(here you can use the skele one from halloween event or use a gold amulet on a piece of meat to get a gold ammy with blood on- give to ghost for costume
level 60: werewolf- bring 5 wolf fur to ghost
level 85+:demon-bring 5 cut rubies-5 balls of wool and red dye to ghost

ok! people to scare

lvl3:men+women
lvl:6: lumby duke lol
level 10: warrior women
level 15: black knights
level 25:white knights
level 30: ghosts of port phamatys! (vampire likley to succeed much more)
level45: knights of ardy
level 50:paladins (ardy)
level 60: heroes (ardy)
level 75: fremninik people
level 80: elves (owned)
level 99: wait for it...

randoms!! evil chicken rock golem river troll and tree spirit only.
dosent even need a costume (needs ring)

if you lose costume ghost will replace for same items
professor can replace your ring in same way!

enjoy:D

The Exploding Skill

If you wish, this skill allows you to explode into a fireball and damage enemies and above all, yourself! This skill also helps to increase the number of deaths you have to undergo, and also decrease the number of stupid and annoying noobs! :D

To explode, go to the emotes interface and select "explode". As you gain experience, you will be able to:

Explode in Fireball (Level 1) 15 xp
Explode in Ice (Level 5) 22 xp
Explode in Acid (Level 15) 50 xp
Explode in Tree  (Level 30) 166 xp
Explode in NPC's face (Level 45) 314 xp
Explode in Shrapnel (Level 56) 500 xp
Explode in Sparks (Level 70) 565 xp
Explode in flowers (Level 82) 687 xp
Explode in Half (Level 99) 1000 xp

An explosion can go wrong sometimes, resulting in no damage to other players, but you die anyway. Plus this failed explosion may do two things: blast you to a remote place, or substract 100 xp.

As you gain levels it will also be easier to lessen damage taken by other exploding players, or even completely resist the blast.

Of course, you die when exploding, and you lose all your items, but sometimes an item becomes "Charred" or "Burnt".

This charred or burnt item is completely useless, but it can be traded as trinkets for a universal value of 1k.

The eating skill (members)

This skill allows you to eat wierd and exotic food without completely throwing up!

It is also useful because you do not have to cook your food to eat it, and you can also make a variety of...interesting foods.

To start, you must go downstairs of the cooking place in the Lumbridge castle (where the chef is )

Find option Peel-back wall (it is random location for each player) and crawl down the hole. You will find The Crasy Chef here. This person will start you on Eating.

To collect your food, you need:

Fishing tools (and bait)
Knife
Cleaver (Recepie for Disaster)
Strainer (Obtain fro Crasy Chef)
Spatula (Recepie for Disaster)

Other misc. tools may be needed.

Foods:

Level 1

able to eat:

Raw Beef (heals 2)
Raw Rat Meat(heals 2)
Raw Shrimp(heals 1)

Able to make:
Meat Custard (Needed: Raw Beef, egg) (Heals: 3)

Level 5

Able to eat:
