I completely understand your reason for doing it. Every week I see some guy being a jerk to a “Girl Character” in RS. I told my daughter when she made a character that she could do what she wanted, but that she would have more fun and less hassles playing as a guy. (she created a girl and doesn’t play anymore because she got tired of the ‘jerks’ always hitting on her and others listening to less experienced players instead of her just because they were male)

Now the question-

Is the game any more enjoyable now, than before when you do not have to watch your words quite as closely?

And congrats to you and Applequest working through that. It had to be an extremely hesitant thing to work through. I have to imagine that when you finally “Let it slip”, that somebody had to help Apple off the floor.
Apple, how long did it take until you believed? I don’t mean said you believed, but truly, with head and heart, believed what you were being told and not think you were on the wrong end of a practical joke?

For something like that, it would take me a little while before elation overrode caution and my brain got in line with my heart.

My wife is going to smile when I tell her this story. She’s a girl after all.

I think there has been a bit of a misconcpetion on how things went. It seems a lot of people think A5Chow just came up to me one day and said "Im a girl, and I have feelings for you." If Jenny had done that, Im not positive things wouldve worked out because that is obviously a weird situation for me on a lot of levels. As we had gotten to be better friends on RS, "he" asked for my MSN. When I got messaged, the person sending me a message was named Jenny, and that was how she told me. Was I surprised? Yes. But on the floor surprised, not even close. Somebody earlier made the comment of A5 "being too nice to be a guy." As stereotypical as that is, its pretty much true, so no, I wasnt too surprised.

After that, we just kind of became friends. We talked about our families, our hobbies, interests, traded pictures. You know, just basic get-to-know-you kind of stuff. We became pretty good friends, and thats when I started developing feelings for her and I felt she may be having feelings for me as well. And then, one day, with a little prompting from her, I finally told her how I felt. And luckily for me, she felt the same. The rest, as they say, is history.

And thank you for those who commented on my new Avatar. After being pestered enough to change it, I did.

Is the game more enjoyable now? Yes, but not because I don't have to watch my words as closely, but because of Applequest. And I can tell you that he does truly make the game much more enjoyable to play because not only is he around to keep the "bad guys" away but he's a really knowledgeable player. He was one of the few people who I can have an intelligent conversation on RS with, without him having to use "u" "lolz" "(h)" "r" "orly", or without him having to ask for free items, prices, or even a whole guide to a quest.

I still remember the first time I added Applequest on MSN as if it were yesterday. I started off our first MSN conversation with, "Surprise ". I can remember his exact words, "it isnt april fools is it?" Throughout our time of getting to know each other, I find it completely enchanting. Everything fell in together so well, and then I soon found myself developing stronger feelings for him. I actually wouldn't have told him of such feelings until he did. Because I feared scarring a friendship that I truly treasured. And now? We both look back and mesmerize how wonderful it was. Then we look ahead and think how beautiful it will be.

Heh, we need more posts like that. XD

And I didn't notice the avatar until that post (possibly because this is the only post of yours i've seen recently.) I like it... Why doesn't Apple have it?

Took me until about an hour ago to realise that you were a girl.

Few days ago heard some people mention J5Chow ... I assume it is a new member or a name change (*Quest Style)

Then I hear people actually saying your a girl (I guess woman at 20, but girl is shorter so I'm afraid your stuck with it ) however I shrug it off, thinking it is just a rumour/joke

Then I notice a few of your posts saying things about you and apple, got confused, however the idea that you are female still didn't hit me.

Then I see your avvy and sig and well... one again confused, thoguht we had another Petrenks on our hands.

I go to the party today (Grats to the both of you by the way) and again see distinctly "coupley" things and it finally sinks into my brain what is true. I hop into chat where I was told about this topic, and have been quietly laughing at my own sheer slowness over the matter ever since.
