Wealth, Fame, Power.
The man who had aquired everything in the world, the Pirate King, Gold Roger. The final words that were said at his execution, sent people to the seas. "My wealth and treasers? If you want it, i'll let you have it. You'll have to look for it! I left it all in that place!"

One Piece is the epic story of the adventures of Monkey D Luffy and his pirate crew through the Grand Line, searching for the legendary treaser of the Pirate King, One Piece.

Set in a completely fictional world, there's alot of physics that don't apply too much. The world is split up in differant regions. East Blue, South Blue, West Blue, North Blue, the Red Line which is the main continate that dircles the whole world from north to south much like the prime meridian, and the Grand Line the most dangerous ocean, which spans across the world much like the equator. This stretch of ocean where most the story is currently taking place.

The Straw Hat Pirates consist of the following:


Monkey D Luffy


Captian of the crew. Also the main character. Not a very smart character, often his stupidity causes his crew mates to yell at him. Has the largest apitite of the group aswell. Despite his low intellegance, he is a exellent fighter wit hthe assistance of the Gomu Gomu(Gum Gum in english) fruit, one of the devil fruits which his whole body becomes rubber, making him immune to normal attacks in bullets, although sharp objects cut him normally. And his one true weakness being the sea, since Devil Fruit users lose their power in the sea and become unable to move. He had the bounty of 30,000,000 bellies(the currency) at one point, but now it's currently. 100,000,000 bellies.

Roronoa Zoro


The first to join Luffy's crew. Used to be known as "Pirate Hunter Zoro" for his intention of hunting pirates for the bounties in order to get money for his food before joining Luffy's crew. After being saved from execution from the Marines Zoro joins Luffy, telling him that he's going to be the greatest swordsman ever and he'll kill him if he ever got in the way of his dream. Zoro hunts the current greatest swordsman Hawk Eyes Mihawk. Zoro fights santōryū style, or tree swords. One in each hand and one in his mouth. Currently i the story he has a bounty of 60,000,000 bellies.

Nami


The third to join the crew. She is also the navigator of the ship. The two things she loves in the world are Money and Tangarines. She originally joined the crew in order to steal any loot that comes by, since she used to be a Thief who steals from Pirates. After the events in her home village, she permenatly joins the crew as the navigator. She fights using a 3 part staff, currently upgraded so she can use it to control the weather.

Ussop


The fourth to join. He is the sniper of the crew, and a impulse liar. He shows to be cowardly at times, but usualy manages to pull through. He joined after the events which happened on his island. His father left him at a yougn age to join a pirate crew as their sniper, which he inherats the skills from. Later in the series he possesses items called "Dials" which have many uses that can be used to combat. He mainly fights with his slingshot or dials. His dream is to become a Brave Warrior Of The Sea.

Sanji


The chainsmoking cook of the crew. Raised by the Pirate Cook Zeff the Red Leg, he's learnt to be the best chef in East Blue. He often swears and gets in verbal fights with Zoro. Constantly having to yell at Luffy for eating too much, resulting in kicking him. Also a trashtalker who provokes his enemies. He's known to flirt constantly, getting the name "Ero Cook" always treating the girls with the most repsect, and giving the rest crap. He fights using his feet, believing a cooks hands are his sacred tools and he must not hurtthem in battle.

Tony Tony Chopper


The sixth member of the crew, also the Docter. Born a reindeer, he ate the Human Human devil fruit, giving him the ability to talk, and transform to either a "human" form or a human reindeer hybrid. Growing up he learnt how to be a docter from an old woman who pounded every bit of knowlage she had into him. Using a creation called a Rumble Ball, he's able to gain 4 more transformations he uses to fight.

Nico Robin


The seveth and most recent to join the crew. A woman with a dark past. And a danger to the World Government. Being the most laid back in the crew, she often doesn't speak unless it's needed. Also being the most intellegent, she helps them out by solving certain problems. Her ability to read an ancient language called Polyglyths makes her a danger to the world. Since reading them reviels locations to ancient weapons, She has stated several times she has no interest in the weapons, and only in learning the True History.She's the third member ofthe crew to have a Devil Fruit power, being the Hana Hana fruitm where she can grow any part of her body out of any surface she pleases. Often she grows arms out of her opponits body and then breaks their bones by clutching them. So anyone with strengh or speed, it doesn't really matter to her. Her bounty is 79,000,000 bellies whic hshe's had since she was only 8, since the Government found out that she could read the ancient language. Currently in story she betrayed the Straw Hatsin order to save them, and the crew is currently trying to save her life fromthe Government.


That's all the crew. There are currentl 437 chapters in the manga out currently, and 288 episodes of the anime. 7 movies are also out.

and just never really got too much into the series really.

Keep watching. It's pretty far in there. Episode 130 to be exact. But after that you get a smaller filler arc, kind of sucks but you'll live.

I love Robin, my favourit character next to Sanji. <3

Once I finish up Full Metal Alchemist im going to start watching it I've seen mybe 20 episodes, but it was the dubbed version on cartoon network. Im downloading episodes 1-10 right now to watch later. 6 hours of downloading and 20% done. It's worth it though!

Sorry. Guess I'll have to talk about the anime.

Well, Luffy finally uses Gear Third at the metal gate towards the Gate of Justice. Too bad we don't see him using it, just a shadow. But Gear Third must be pretty insanely powerful to smash that thick gate of pure metal, eh? Maybe even Zoro couldn't cut it.

Franky and Chopper are pure hilarous, Chopper giving him tea and vegetable juice with funny results. Franky's Strong Hammer after he had three bottles of Cola is pretty insane, I think Fukurou smashed three walls.

Wonder how Nami and Kalifa's fight will turn out.

And can't wait for next episode, Zoro is unleashing his Meitou Hana Arashi.

I first saw One Piece as the dub, and followed it for some time.. cheesy, yet funny to me. I have yet to watch it subbed, although I should probably get around to it, lol.

It would probably be the same deal it was with Naruto - watched only the dub up until the fight between Haku/Naruto, then started watching the subbed version. Now I can't stand the dubs, lol
