I am 98 defense and they owned me with 150+ magic defense AND with 350+ melee defense, they definitely use both cause it didn't matter what I wore. I eventually just gave in and used guthans. As for the drop rate, probably the same as all other unique slayer drops. I was there from 2:30 AM to about 7:00 AM and didn't get a single mask, while others got up to 3.

As for the charges, like some have said, they work the same way as the Broodoo shields. The Broodoo shields have a 1 in 10 chance of casting their respective ability. So the Black Mask probably has a 1 in 10 chance of casting a spell that lowers enemy defense by 3 to 10 points. The number next to the item's name is the number of charges it currently has. I'm not sure what happens when it hits 0, it might disappear or it might just stay at 0.

yeah, but guards in varrok dont attack anyone, therefore they are non aggressive. albino bats? they attack, so they are agrressive.

I got 3 Snapedragon seeds, so you should add that to the seed list.

They drop avantoe and irit seeds aswell and i got a drop that was like 460gp.
They can drop two herbs at once

For armor wear: Karil, Guthan, or Black Dragonhide. They use a magic attack like Bloodvelds and Jellies.

A spawn of 3 and 4 in Northeastern corner. (A couple spots)

Black Mask is very rare drop 1/500ish.

All Herbs are possible to get.

All seeds Toadflax-Torstol. 4,6 Nat Drop Rest you got are good.

Also Mask still has boost effect even though charges are gone.

I tried the Black D-Hide route (at 90 defense) and was eating too much food so I swapped over to Guthans and didn't have a problem the rest of the time I was there.

Take a tinderbox and a chisel. I cut and dropped 21 gems while I was there, and I burned 68 Mahogony logs (@ 157 xp per). I brought back 396 Nature Runes and 204 Teak Logs just to give you an idea how long I was there to get my Mask.

I think I gained 5 pounds I sat in my chair so long trying to get it. I dont want to have to do that again.

To add a tip to Rarius' suggestions, I brought a fire staff. Using the nature runes I picked up, I high alched all of the rune daggers, mith kites and addy helms.

If you have been lucky to get more than one mask, you might like myself be annoyed that those charges means you can't stack your masks in the bank.
Since the chance to cast is only when you take damage, the fastest way I could think of to burn off those useless charges was to let abyssal leeches nibble at me for a while without auto retaliate. Take full lobs and you can probably remove all the charges.
