Hi, I made this guide to spur ideas for jobs in Runescape for those wandering players who need some cash. Thankyou for taking the time to look this over.
I did a lot of underlining, bolding, changing font sizes and a few text boxes so when i copied it from word i lost all of that, should i try to e-mail it to someone so that it has that in it?
The coin image that goes before the = signs in the guide is already uploaded to image shack at the link below.

UPDATES: 7/10/06--- Prices on Wilderness respawn jobs.

Runescape Guide to Jobs and Making Money

First off, this is NOT a get rich quick guide, it will require some time and effort. This guide will share some of the many various ways to make money in Runescape. Some will pay more but for the most part takes for time. Naturally, a F2P player is probably not going to make as much as a P2P person. Please feel free to add to this guide, I don’t know everything about the game and I am sure you have great ideas.

If you need a job, definitely check the Runevillage forums, especially the job section. You’d be surprised how many quick and easy jobs you will find there. Also, if you are going to do a deal, a good amount to get is at least 1000 of whatever item you are dealing in. For instance if you sell rune essence for less than 1k at a time the price will be 15gp each, but if you sell 1k-30k at a time, people will buy for 20-30gp each. A last tip, watch out for new skills coming out, the millionaires of Runescape won’t hesitate to spend their money on the items needed so that they can be one step ahead of everyone in the game. For instance, just recently the construction skill came out and the prices for oak logs jumped 80-150gp each for a few days.

Note: I haven’t been able to find out most of the Money/Hour rates yet. I will gradually fill these in as I test them.

Free World and Members Money Making Suggestions

Money by Special Deals or Respawns

Bone Collecting
Normal Bones: You may think that this is a noob job, well it sorta is, be hey it brings in money. The best place to collect bones is in the building in Edgeville just north of the bank. You can usually find a buyer for 25gp each, there are a select few that will buy for 100gp each, if you can find one of these you got it made! This is great to do if you are a new player because you gain combat levels fast while you make money doing it.
Image=
Big Bones: You can kill moss giants or hill giants for big bones in the Varrock Dungeon and the Edgeville Dungeon but it tends to be very crowded. You can also try Mosses and Hill Giants in the Wilderness but be sure to have a teleport option because there will always be PKers searching for an easy kill.
Image =
Dragon Bones: Dragon Bones sell for 2k each, best place to sell would be any major bank in members, I would recommend Seers. The best place to get Dragon Bones is Talvary Dungeon at the Blue Dragons. If you are a lower level you could try the Green Dragons in the wilderness, but it is a long way from a bank and there is the risk of PKers. Green Dragon Slaying Guide

Hide collecting
Cowhides: The best place to collect cowhides is in Lumbridge, from there bank in Al Kaharid. The best place to sell is in Al Kaharid bank.
Image=
Dragon hides: Naturally you have to kill dragons to get dragon hides. Green Dragon Hides go for 1k each, Blue Dragon hides go for 2k each, and Black Dragon hides sell for 5k, prices are sketchy but still pretty accurate. The bank in Seers is where you should sell the hides.

Making Strength Potions- to make strength potions in free world, you have to have two ingredients, limproots and red spider eggs.
The red spider eggs are easy to get, just go to Karamaja and under the volcano by the deadly red spiders there are some eggs that respawns there. It takes about 30-60 seconds to respawn, so you could train on the spiders while you wait, or you could keep on switching worlds and picking up the eggs.
The limproots are more time consuming. You have to kill hobgoblins to get limproots, and tons of them. The best place to do this is southwest of the southern entrance to Falador and north of Mezlar’s Maze. The nearest bank is Falador east bank.
Go to Varrock, and south of the western bank is an apothecary, talk to him and he will make you a strength potion. You can sell the strength potion from anyway between 800gp-1000gp. Most of the buyers are in Varrock east bank and in Edgeville bank.

Rune Essence Running- You can always try to run rune essence to people. To find these people you should check the Runevillage job section or on other Runescape forums.
Mostly if you run rune essence in free world you will get paid in the runes the crafter is crafting or if you are lucky, in money. If you want to make any real money running essence, run essence for nature, law, or death rune crafters, they will give you the runes and when you have enough, sell them. Nature runes for 300gp, Laws for 350-400gp each, and deaths for 300gp each.

Wilderness Respawns- I am reluctant to give this away for fear of people crowding to them…The most profitable wilderness respawns are deep in the lava maze. Take two pieces of armor, a sword, and about 2-3 pieces of food so that if you die you won’t lose anything valuable. I recommend being level 50 or above to attempt this.
The lava maze is due north of Edgeville, the entrance is on the west side of the maze. You will need a sword to cut through the spider webs. By the giants in the maze you will find an earth staff and by the lesser demons you’ll find a steel plate. Keep logging into different worlds to pick up these respawns and then go back and sell them Varrock. If you don’t want to go back and forth between the bank and the maze, then simply bring a fire staff and about 100 or so nature runes and high alch the steel plate/earth staff. (Note: you have to be level 21 magic to low alchemy and lvl 55 magic to use high alchemy)
Image= 400-450k per hour (if you don't die)

Nature rune respawn- this too is another I am reluctant to give away. You need level 33 magic to do this job. Bring a set of teleport runes, about 20 food, an air staff, and 50-200 teliport runes. Go over to the blue moon inn, on the edge of the wilderness and a bit west of Varrock, then head north through the wilderness until you get to level 42 wildy. On the way you will pass hill giants, black knights, and lesser demons. There are usually a lot of pkers at the hill giants so watch out.
Once you get to the nature respawn at level 42 wilderness, you will see two nature runes on an island surrounded by lava. Simply use telekinetic grab on them then log into another world and do the same until you have used up all of your law runes. You get approximately 3.5 nature runes per law rune. So if you bought the 100 law runes for 30k then you can sell back the 350 nature runes for 105k.
Image= 120k per hour (if you don't die)

Money from Skills

Fishing and Cooking- There will always be people buying fish, they need it to fight monsters and to PK. You should sell your cooked fish in Edgeville bank or Varrock bank. If you want to sell raw fish, sell them on forums.
Trout and Salmon- Fish them south of Edgeville along the river. You should sell them 200-1000 at a time for 50-60gp each.
Image=
Tuna- The best free world fishing spot is on Karamaja at the docks, the best members fishing spot is in Catherby. You can sell these raw or cooked between 50-80gp each.
Lobsters- The best free world fishing spot is on Karamaja at the docks, the best members fishing spot is in Catherby.
Swordfish- The best free world fishing spot is on Karamaja at the docks, the best members fishing spot is in Catherby.

Woodcutting- Can become very boring but there are always a few people to talk to.
Regular logs: regular logs go for 5gp each but you still might find buyers from the construction skill buying for 15-25gp each. These trees can be found everywhere in Runescape, a good place to collect them is either Varrock, or Draynor Village.
Oak logs: These sell for 25gp each, the best place to get them is just west of Varrock.
Willow Logs: Willow logs sell for 30gp each mostly in Draynor village, you will find a lot more buyers for willows than any other logs.
Maple Logs: These sell for 100gp each mostly in Seers village
Yew Logs: Yew logs sell for anywhere between 250gp- 325gp each, they are harder to sell now adays, most people sell them in Varrock west bank but I think you have a better chance selling them in Edgeville bank.

Mining & Smithing
Rune Essence: There are many people who will buy rune essence for 15-20gp each in Varrock east bank. If you are aiming for getting 20k in a few hours but not have to have any real skill requirement, this is perfect. Most players want more than that though.
Coal Ore: Coal is mostly bought and sold in Falador east bank because of the mining guild being just south of it. Coal mostly sells for 100-200gp each, the best place to mine it is in the mining guild but you need level 60 mining to get in. There are many other places to mine coal, in Barbarian Village, in the Dwarven mines, and in the Gnome Stronghold, but the least crowded place is in the wilderness north of Edgeville, the only problem is that it is surrounded by Skeletons.
Gold Ore: Gold ore sells for 300-400gp each, to find a buyer you should go on forums like the runevillage pub and browse until you find one. The best place to mine gold in F2P is the crafting guild, but you need level 40 crafting to get in, if you don’t have that you can go to the second best place which is under Karamaja by the skeletons.
Mith Ore: Mith ore sells for 300gp each in Falador East bank. The best place to mine mith in free world is in Edgeville dungeon by the skeletons, Lumbridge swamps or the mining guild.
Addy Ore: Addy ore sells between 500-600gp each probably best sold on forums.
Rune Ore: gold ore mostly goes for 8-10k each, the problem is finding a buyer. To find one you should probably post on online forum markets.
Iron bars: Sell for 100gp each, you could sell these in Falador bank, Varrock bank or Al Kaharid bank.
Steel bars: Sell steel bars for 500gp each in Falador bank or on online forums.
Mith Bars: Mith bars can be sold for 1k each, it is very profitable but it takes forever to do.

Runecrafting
Air and Mind Runes: Sell for 15-20gp each on forums or in any banks.
Chaos Runes: Most pkers want to buy chaos runes, they will buy them in Varrock and Edgeville Bank. If you are a member you should make them, but if you are a free worlder, you can try to collect them inside chaos castle, but there are many pkers there usually and you will be running for your life more than making millions.
Nature Runes: Nature runes sell for 300-350gp each. If you are a free world player you should try the deal above, but if you are a member you can either make them or buy them at the mage arena store in the wilderness.
Law Runes: If you sell law runes one at a time to people who desperately need them for teleports then you can get 1k each law rune. If you try to sell law runes more than 100 and a time you will probably only get 300-450gp each for them. as a member you can either make them or buy them at the mage arena store in the wilderness.
Death Runes: Death runes sell for 300gp each in any big bank, as a member you can either make them or buy them at the mage arena store in the wilderness.

If there were a lot of underlinings, and they were used to stress certain parts of the guide, you may always send it to my e-mailadress (sent it to you in a pm).

No matter how you put it, this is a money making guide (you don't do those jobs for pleasure), so if we add it, it'll be added to the already existant Money Making Guide. We could add a new section in it: "Jobs" or "Errands", I don't know...

But it looks promising :) .

Small note, please add a link to our Green Dragon Slaying Guide where you're talking about the Green Dragons in the Wilderness :) .

It looks like a nice guide but I think it is too long. Keep it breif and dont elaborate on a bunch of things.

Yeah, usually people tend to get bored of reading long guides! But, IMO, it has a lot of useful info!
