I'm sure i'm not the only who has noticed the amount of parents, mainly fathers that are involved peoples storylines, and i think this is extra important seeing as Jack's Dad's body is missing and therefore important in my opinion.
I will List the poeple i Know, if anyone who has seen series two could help me and we can discuss this whole thing.

Jack- Dr.Christian Shepard (Father)
Sun - Mr.Paik (Father)
Jin - Mr.Paik (Father-in-law), Mr.Kwon (Jin's dad)
Sawyer - ???(Dad)
Boone - Mr.Adam Rutherford (Step-dad, yup the guy in Man of Science man of Faith)
Shannon - Mr.Adam Rutherford (dad " " " ")
Locke - can't remember (Biological dad)
Michael - Michael (Himself)
Walt - Michael (Dad)

Thats all i can Remembers now but many of those have mum issues too, there are also some who have more minor parent issues but you hear see them:

Kate - Mum (in hospital)
Aaron - Claire (adoption, kidnapping)
Claire - Mum (something about not telling her abotu baby and her being mad?? something about her)
Danielle - Herself (alex)

If you add the main ones up thats 9 roughly half of the main characters and I've probably forgotten some or have yet to learn about.

Then theres an Episode called : All the Best Cowboys have Daddy issues.
Which also intrigues me because Sawyer who is a Redneck, his dad dies wearing cowboy boots.

I'm sure that these Daddy (parent) issues are going to be important. I also have the Theory of Jacks Dad being an other but I've heard series two shows you more about him so i will keep revising that for now.

Ahar, I think I know what you mean about the Jack's dad being an other theory, aka the whole missing body, doctor on episode 15 maternity leave, etc..

But indeed, a nice theory! But on the other hand, they all bump into another lostie in each of there flashbacks, so that could be classed as the main linkage also.
