My favorite anime ever. It is reletivly short, at only 26 episodes, I believe. The entire thing can be purchaced for about $80 for the box set, and I've even seen it for rent at blockbuster.

Anyway --

What it's about: It is an action anime that contains violence, war, death, demons -- all that good stuff. It is set in a medevil time, just like runescape. It follows a soldior from his time as a boy to his wars with his band of soldiors, to eventually a fight against hell itself. =s ok so that's sorta a big jump, but it is smoothy transfered through the entire series. It is very violent, and there is nothing cute about it. If you enjoy good action, try dling it of kazaa. (where I got all episodes) It is 16 and up, I beleive, although I'm warning you. When people take damage there is no cute little red blob that apears on them and tells how many hits they've lost. You have to guess yourself how much hp they loose by how much you think an arm, finger, eye, ect is worth. :wink:

I've seen a montage of some clips in an anime music video awhile ago.

He was running up a spiral staircase killing everyone. It was cool ^_^

To get the full awesomness, and the story of Berserk, you HAVE to read the manga.

The anime really only covers up from 3-11 from the manga, even then, stuff is cut out.

The manga is up to 29-30 volumes strong and still going. Get the manga, more gory, more demons, more everything.

How crappy is the translation on book 4? Since Duane Johnson does it. XD

You can have a gory-ish anime about fighting demons and hell that's still well drawn
