My power is out and it's made me realize the only times I ever visit the site is when the power is out and I need something relatively low bandwidth to kill time, or around Christmas (something magical and nostalgic about this place).

Anyone else terrible like me and is only active under certain conditions? I will of course try to improve on this..

I end usually end up back here whenever people reminisce about RuneScape online. Do active forums still exist nowadays? My Internet activity mostly shifted from RuneScape to the 'giant' social media websites (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, 4chan) around 2008-9.

I come around what seems like a few times a year just to check things out but I don't always log in. This place was once such a large part of my daily life. I sometimes miss that and I miss the people that used to frequent these forums. There for a while I just couldn't bare to see this place out of sadness over everything that had happened.

I guess now that I've been away for so long I feel like no one would want an old lady like me hanging around.

But that won't stop me from visiting occasionally.

Yes, I love dropping in here and knowing that this place is still around. I wish we could find a way to revamp RV and bring it back in another capacity. I'm a web developer now (thanks largely to RV and what I learned working on the original site), but my excess mental energy goes to other projects. Still, one can dream..

Same. The world's changing too fast, though. I'm glad we all joined RV in the heyday of Internet forums and Miniclip bringing people to RS to RV and everything else that was going on. The Internet just seems so much more mature now somehow, and it's hard to believe so many thousands of people would willingly sink hundreds of hours into a forum again.

But boy was it fun.
