Er, most, yeah. Point being it seems to be more likely for those having the fewest and the most to be power roles, or at least that's what I noticed.

Only reason I blocked Lara night 1 was because I could tell it was Monk. Always target Monk N1.

On the whole Masquerade thing, it worked pretty well objectively but I'll be blunt and say I wasn't a fan personally. I felt like it made the reason I recently started playing here a bit redundant, perhaps? i.e started playing here because of familiar faces. Of course I understand that it's the same people behind different names but still. Probably something more appealing to long-term players rather than new players I suppose.

Hmm. I think this setup really really really favored the mafia. With no meta and the possible absence of a detective/doctor this is really hard for the town.

I didn't expect you guys to be SO against lynching as market said. But when there's no lynch, there is no real data, as someone (Doc Henry?) pointed out.

J1N was by far the most dangerous person alive, but when he began to draw heat to himself we knew this one was over. :awesome:

ROFL that my partners were Defeat, Monk, and Tennis Ace.

Yeah. sorry bout that.
However, the way the game played out(no lynch, no jailkeeper/doctor successes, mod-kill ICE) was nearly the worst possible outcome for the town :(

and thanks for the warm responses. i had a hellovalotta fun writing it :)

Well that was utter failure on my part. I just couldn't get a read on anyone (besides DH, who I worked out was J1N as soon as we got into an argument, haha) and was hoping for a detective to protect at somepoint. I suck as the doctor because indecision gets me.

Mafia were always likely to win in this setup but that's not your fault, market. The game is partly down to lucky guesses after all.

Wrrrooong.
I had fun this game. Dr. Henry called me out on everything I slipped up on (the ALL CAPS which was totally a 'look at me I can't possibly be drawing attention to myself and be mafia' & when I said all suspicion of him had been lifted) and I felt like I was backpeddling a whole lot.

I gave up trying to work it out... I thought Thr was Eximus (was it eximus I said I knew who he was?) for being stubborn and refusing to see that I was villager. Seemed very much like the game before (when I WAS mafia, but was trying to convince him otherwise).

Had no idea who you were, as the caps didn't help, but was damn sure there was something shifty about you. Having to stop myself getting killed just stopped my game. Could not turn it around after that.

Thr, don't claim detective and give made up results which *could* include mafia labelled as town... If they leave you alive, and the town believe you, a mafia just gets to survive until the end. That's why you "self-detect" and detect dead people.

Its way to hard to quote on my phone lol. Also, if I didn't die that night I was going to flat out say I fake claimed. I would then have asked for the real detective to come out if we had one. Also it wasn't you this time it was Huydra lol. If you didn't notice everytime I said people were mafia I mentioned Huydra being one too. I never voted for him though because. I didn't think I could defend it very well.

I went hard in the paint for you a couple different times. The second time ended in the lynch. I've never played so aggressively as a mafioso before. I usually stay in the discussion, but hold off on votes til' there's a train. This time I tried to be on the offense, but a different one than my team. We all seemed to do that pretty well (distance ourselves from each other).

Damn, my suspicions of there being 4 mafia were correct. Hard game, but I greatly enjoyed the mechanics.

We should do another of these sometime in the future; the previously EpicMafia-exclusive role of Mafia Disguiser might actually work in this kind of game.

(the Disguiser can ONCE, choose to steal the identity of the mafia's nightkill target. For instance:

The mafia decide to kill LARA (who is the doctor)
Cornelius is the Mafia Disguiser and decides he wants to steal LARA's identity.
The town will see: Cornelius - Doctor, has died.
LARA will be informed privately of his death.
Cornelius will then receive the account details for LARA and will play the remainder of the game under that name.
The ruse is revealed if 'LARA' dies.

The fun of such a role is shaking suspicion, or even casting 'confirmed' players under doubt. Say the detective had cleared LARA before the disguising took place; then Cornelius has effectively 'cleared' himself.)
