At what point do you realize, as a young adult, that it's time to move on?

Clearly not many of us have realized just that.

What're the Old-school villagers doing with their lives?

Anywho, I'm still in college but I'm currently on co-op at a large razor company doing product development.

Contrary to what it sounds like you're implying, it's possible to spend free time on RuneVillage without looking like you "haven't moved on".

I've been a Software Engineer at a leading genomics software company for the past 2.5 years. My contributions help allow researchers and bioinformaticians around the world to look for and find causes and cures for diseases, including cancer. I'll be going back to college this Fall, though, to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science. I also do a weekly webcomic that takes up quite a bit of my time as well.

Yup.

I currently work at our lovely neighborhood Walmart and am reminded, every day, why humanity sucks a big old bag of Fuzzy Bunny

. I also got accepted to graduate school and will pursue a MFA in Literature come September. I have been looking into library science, as those jobs are government (did not know that) and entry level jobs start around 35k a year.

I also dabble in writing but often cannot find time/perseverance to really stick with it.

I'm glad everyone else is having such success. :laugh:

Currently working full time (With a fair bit of overtime!) at a factory that does shopfitting. I'll start learning spray painting soon, learn a skill and hopefully earn more! At the moment I get about 31k a year, not including overtime.

Well university graduation is well behind me, obviously. At the moment I'm halfway through writing a novel manuscript (no, you may not have a sample). Decided a couple of months ago that it was high bloody time for me to start doing something with my writing.

Graduated from business school last April, and found a marketing/admin job in a small financial planning/wealth management firm. They do a lot of investment and insurance related type of business for families. I'd consider it my very first office job, and I'm enjoying it so far.

I also work a part-time job on the side (roughly 16-24 hours per week) at a local grocery store. Takes up my weekends entirely, but it gives me a few extra dollas to play around with. Hoping to quit this gig by the end of this year, but we'll see how things pan out.

But I still visit Runevillage, and plan on doing so for a very long time!

And wow, I also just realized Lochner is Knux lol. Shows you how much I'm paying attention to things around here..

I've been doing pretty much nothing for two years now. It's been a rough, but fun 2 year vacation. I figure I have 3 more solid years of vacationing, then once I hit 30 I'll probably decide to buckle down and do something with myself.
