I'm Dexter and I'm town.

I'm honestly pretty confused about what exactly happened, but I can tell you guys at least what I know to be true. I'm a mix of tracker/detective/bodyguard/vigilante. When I target someone I can't actually protect them from death, per se. But *if* my target visits anyone else, I learn who my target visited and their alignment. At that point I have two options: kill the person my target visited or do nothing.

I killed Godders. I'm assuming that I kill using anesthetics.

What is interesting, or at least confusing is that if Penguin is really a "tracker" and targeted kikori, why I didn't meet Lander during the night. I would speculate either that A) I'm only allotted the power to follow my target to one other target, or B) Penguin is lying and kikori didn't actually visit Lander.

The problem I'm having is that I know I killed Godders, meaning that if Penguin is telling the truth then kikori would have a power that allows him to target multiple people. While not impossible, seems unlikely -- once again, especially since I didn't run into Lander.

I would venture to say that Penguin's story might be invented, since both of the people in his "report" (the tracker and the trackee) are dead. It's a low-risk gamble. At the same time, though, kikori really did visit Godders, so their is some merit to Penguin's story. I just don't know where Lander fits in.

By this point I'm just talking myself into circles. I'm not going to risk voting for you today, Penguin, because Jackstick literally has nothing to offer and may be the killer after all.

@Lander, I'll be targeting you tonight. If you think Penguin is town, you should definitely watch him. This dissuades the mafia or any other roles from going after him. If he's town, I can confirm it, and if he's not... well I'll just do my job.

If you don't think he's town, I suggest you watch me.

@Penguin, if you're really a town tracker, I suggest you track me. This way we confirm each other to be town.

Anyway, now that I'm dead I might as well tell you what I know. I have class in a few minutes so I'm sorry if my post seems poorly-written.

I'm Kyubey, the Messenger of Magic. My purpose is to grant wishes and recruit people into my own faction (I'm not mafia, but I had my own ambitions separate from the town's). They may wish for the ability to kill, or the ability to protect. They are not aware of my identity until after their wish is carried out, so they can even chose to kill me without knowing that I'm the one granting their wish. However, I'm immune to ONE night-time kill (which has not been used up yet, but it's irrelevant now that I've got a rope around my neck). So even if they chose to kill me, I'd be safe, at least for the first time.

Last night I chose to recruit Kikori, and this gave him the one-time ability to kill or to protect. All of this is communicated to Topsummoner, so I'm not sure what Kikori's wish was or who he used it on, and he's too dead for me to ask him myself.

It's possible that he chose to protect Landerpurex, or chose to kill Godders. Anyway, he used my wish on one of them and his own Bahamut ability (whatever that is) on the other. My role explains why Kikori had two actions last night - the wish I gave him, and whatever his Bahamut role allowed him to do.

Have any of you questioned why Kikori's role is written in blue in this post? Two possibilities: Either Topsummoner is considering him a member of my faction even though he died before we had a chance to communicate, or Kikori was the leader of his own faction. If he used his Bahamut role on Lander, then it's possible that Lander is now the leader of Kikori's faction.

Be sure to check the color of my role/name once I'm dead. If it's the same as Kikori's, then it's likely that he didn't have his own faction. If it's different, then keep an eye on Landerpurex, because he may be Kikori's first recruit and now-leader of a separate faction.

There's also the possibility that I snatched Kikori out of his own faction, making Lander the sole-member and leader of Team Bahamut even if Kikori had survived last night.

Well the confusion is mutual. This seems to be what we do know, assuming we take everyone at face value.

Last night:
Kikori-Town, dead
LanderpureX- Watched Kikori, saw PenguinGuy, Paidea, and Jackstick visit him.
PenguinGuy- Tracker, saw Kikori visit Godders and LanderpureX
Paidea- Dexter, followed Kikori to Godders, learning Godder's alignment and killing him
Jackstick- Kyubey, recruited Kikori, giving him either a protection or a kill

However, nobody claimed to have killed Kikori, so one of us must be lying (or something REALLY crazy is going down). If Jack flips mafia, we know its him. If he flips as he said, then it must be myself or Paidea.

Is this day over or not Top?

Anyway, I definitely didn't kill Kikori (unless he used his wish to kill himself, in which case I guess I'd be somewhat responsible ). I'm a dead man now, so I have nothing to hide. Even though I was a separate faction, I'd rather see the town win than the Mafia.

Remember that this is Upick - everyone has a special role. Don't judge a person's alignment purely by the apparent malevolence or lack thereof of our roles and abilities. A tracker/watcher is just as useful to the town as it is to the mafia or any other faction.

The council decides that, with evidence brought forth by Landerpurex and others, that Jackstick must be mafia, or at least responsible for the death of Kikori.

He is not hung, because that's now how we do things in AMERICA! Jackstick is brought to the electric chair and fried. The ethics of frying a cute, furry animal are questionable but the debate will surely blow over after a week.

After a thorough investigation of his household, there is nothing found to suggest Jackstick is a member of the mafia. However, his true intentions in regard to the fate of the city remain ambiguous.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to complete my night action. I don't really want to talk about it.

Concerning this, this is strange, becuase obviously a town role-blocker wouldn't block a claimed tracker or watcher, yet two of us have been blocked. Lander was quite obviously blocked by Bane (Batman), not sure who I was by. Back to yesterday's train of thought Logic dictates that since one of Jack Paidea and myself is mafia, and Jack is not mafia, I know it must be Paidea (and he will make the same assumption about me). I am further inclined to beleive this because I know Kikori visited both Godders and Lander, but Paidea states he only visited Godders. Paidea is thus lying, and must be mafia. However, Paidea can make the same argument, so its just my word against his. Another facet to this discussion is Lander may be lying. The mafia may have killed Kikori, and also used a watcher role, so that Lander can use this information to lead the village. This is just the kind of idea that Henry suggested, before the mafia killed him, possibly because they knew he was right.

I beleive probably Paidea, or maybe Lander is mafia. Not sure who at this point.

Penguin, if you think I'm going to lay down and tolerate your half-baked 'Lander might also be mafia' schtick, you're sadly mistaken. It's hard to tell which of you or Paidea is lying, but if YOU'RE not mafia then the general consensus must be that he IS. Yet you don't have a vote placed. Bizarre.



Why not? Because it would make your web of lies that much more complicated? I told everyone, specifically, what happened to me last night so that we might be able to deduce some information. How come you can't do the same? Is it because you ARE the mafia roleblocker? Because you engineered this whole plan? You broke my back.



First, let me point out your stylistic shortcomings. Misspelling 'because' once, and 'believe' twice? One typo I can forgive, two I can probably forgive, but three typos and two of the same word in a Upick game? Something's up. Something you're not telling us. And they're both 'be' words. Interesting.

Secondly, the mafia (you) could have killed Henry and you are directly proposing the aforementioned in a weak attempt to frame me.

It's easy for you to claim Watcher, and claim that a dead man visited myself and another dead man after I revealed my findings. I could have easily guessed you were lying before, but now, wow. After such a strong showing last game.

At any rate, we can cross-check Paidea's claims with Penguin's for lies. Penguin claimed Kikori visited me, but Paidea didn't get the option to visit me. While Paidea confirmed that Kikori visited Godders, it could be a coincidence that Penguin is lying in the safest way in claiming he visited Godders, who was dead.

So we have claims of two role blockers to go with 2/3 tracking type roles... i don't see that as very likely to be honest. i want to hear what paid has to say in his defence? At least pengu is giving a defence. Also market and ex what do you think?
