3.) It's the truth: There's no damn risk where I'm concerned. I'm not Mafia. I'm not going to get our detective('s hirer) killed. There may be somebody on the Mafia with a role like mine that can hurt someone during the trial phase, but thinking harder on it, I kinda doubt it. Two day-time shooters would be silly.
That does not absolve him of thinking he was a better pick than Lander for being the Lawyer.
4.) Henry and Ex Rex were my choices for scumminess. If I somehow came across as defending their behaviors and saying "Let's pick a Lawyer because he's a model villager", one of us has some English wrong.
Let's be honest, they're probably not the best or most sure-fire picks. It's Day One. I've gotten lucky with my suspicions before, but my evidence supporting the gut (which has always been shaky at best in many previous games) is in pretty short supply quantity wise. So my thoughts on who to pick are there, but don't expect an essay for why.

I'm here now, and I think understandably so I am not ok with Kikori giving any kind of advice to anyone right now. I get the possibility that there is a Framer, but what I fail to see is how that clears him.

It won't. I won't be confirmed until, as stated before, either I die or the Gumshoe gets a second, Innocent investigation on me.
With that in mind, the only thing I can do is try to be as helpful as possible while I have the powers to do so. To be able to talk during this phase is one good part of it. The freedom to kill anyone actively involved with the case is the better. It would be a pretty damn risky move to try to bring my Mafia buddy up as a Lawyer "based on a hunch" and shoot him just to clear myself. After all, let's face one thing: If I'm Mafia with a gun, I'd HAVE to be shooting the Framer. There's very likely no "Framer with a gun". Framer dead, me investigated for peace of mind, red name shows up, me dead. Hence we're trying to work out who is the Mafia, so I can shoot them. Pray we hit a scummy guy.

Scar was the author of the second quote in my post, not Penguin. [/probably obvious]

2)Funny you should use that example, since Monk was actually a villager.
3)True enough.
4)We were both suggesting to each other, and I was trying to get you to make the decision. I can choose who ever I want, but it doesn't matter if you don't shoot them.
We are trying to make the best of a bad situation. If we can confirm you today we will be in much better shape than if we don't. Hitting a villager is a risk we should take.

Monk was a villager. But let's look at the order of operations again.
Monk started a fight with me. Villager.
PenguinGuy finished a fight with me. Mafia.
--
Lander started a fight with you. Villager?
Rex started a fight with you. My gut is on him.

Yes, I know there was no actual fighting. Yes, it's just an example of the similarity of logic. But his taking up the flag for Lander reminds me of you taking it up for Monk.

And it does too matter what you think. I'm not the only person who's giving out data here. Scar is in how he treats the day, you are in how you consider who's being elected, and I am in how I treat you guys. If you just play along with me saying "Elect Rex so I can pop him off", that's not exactly giving your opinion of if you agree or not. WE are trying to hit a Mafia. I'm the trigger, but the three of us have the power to discuss it. You have my opinions on who. :?:

OH! I though you were trying to say they are acting in cahoots, with me and Monk being the example, but that makes far more sense. That is similar to how I tried to get you lynched, except this time he succeded.

I misspoke. At the end of the day who is dead was what I was refering to. But yes, the data we generate is important , as is my opinion.

Scar, can you please at least play along, and tell us besides Kikori who you think is Mafia?

We have plenty of time, so I'm going to wait for some feedback from Scar before choosing. And Scar, please cooperate. Even if you are certain Kikori is Mafia, there is at least one more mafia. I will eat my metaphorical hat if Kikori is the lone Mafia.

The deadline has already started. It cannot be stopped.

While we're waiting.

Everyone else in the audience. Jury folk. Give us your Guilty or Not Guilty thoughts on Ex Rex.

P.S. We have twenty four hours left.
I'd prefer to not have to shoot PenguinGuy. >_>

No it's more than that, 30+ currently.
And like Kikori said, Jury, give us Guilty/Not Guilty on Ex Rex.

Oh, whoops! Yeah, that one was my bad. I forgot, Scar's post started the timer. Not James'.
I guess it was my turn to try again. ^_^;

For me personally the timer ends at about 3:30 PM CST. I have work when 7:00-ish hits, so the judgement will have to come before then.

First day of classes, Monday is a busy day for me. And putting this out there now, so everyone knows. I am in class when the phase ends tomorrow, so don't expect anything from me after about 6:00PM EST. Anyway, to the game.

---

I have suspicion of Ex Rex, his post to force a trial was incredibly stupid or scummy, and either way I don't think it marks him as someone who is playing a smart game.

If he did it intentionally as Mafia he'd have to know that it would cast suspicion on him, which is a terrible idea. And if he did it by accident it shows he hasn't really been paying attention to the game and was only trying to appear active.

I don't think Henry is Mafia. He nominated me, but I fee that was more to ensure someone went to trial D1 so we didn't miss a day. And, after I claimed for all he knew I could have been lieing.

One other thing, I am probably behind the ball here but does everyone else think that Aragorns role was probably our Doctor?

Thank you for your cooperation Scar.

Seeing as we all agree, Elect: Ex Rex. Explain your decision to force a trial.

Scar wrote:

I don't think so. A Defense Attorney is a lawyer who defends the defendant. I don't see how you can go from there to Doctor.

Glad you posted. Answer one thing for me.

If Lander had done it instead, you would say...? Activity generation was the goal.

It's hard to picture a D.A. as a Doctor. Forensics Expert, maybe. It's possible, but I wouldn't bank on it myself.

Rex is officially in the trial now, right? Even though it's late into it?

Ex Rex takes a seat next to PenguinGuy, and begins to prepare a defensive statement.

Ex Rex may now speak.
