Normal games are far more tactical too, random chance plays so much higher a role when there's a proliferation of roles.

I think honestly another round of 2of4 would be a good course of action. It's a semi-open normal game, which I think is perfect for keeping the focus of the game off roles and onto actual scumhunting.

I don't think I ever saw this game type, could you explain the concept?

Game.

There are six possible setups of roles in which there are two Mafia (one goon, one stalker) to combat seven Villagers. Of the seven, five are always Vanilla. The last two can be two of four roles. Vanilla, Doctor, Detective, Jailkeeper. This creates six possible scenarios of roles based on the "2of4" roles.

The games are fairly balanced on paper, and because there are no surprises about roles nor a bad balance about them (i.e. you know there can not be a Tracker). Fake roleclaims are dangerous because, if you make a claim, it may be a filled slot. Or it may be a role that doesn't exist. Claim detective but someone else rolls Jailkeeper and Doctor in the game? Dead.

The focus of the game becomes looking at habits, at posts, and maybe hoping the roles will fill in the holes.

Really, anyone can host 2of4. I'd be willing to, but I also want to host a variant semi-soon, so if there's someone else who wants to step up to do it, that would be grand.

2of4 is already pre-made for him, so really it's the perfect opportunity for Riptide to learn to host.

That sounds like a good format, I would be willing to host but I'm in the middle of exam periods so wouldn't be able to commit the time. After June 18th though I'll be willing to host.

I agree 100%. If he wants to go for it, and people are willing to let him cut in line, I think it'd be great.

I've gotten a hold on my work schedule now, so I believe I could host a game at some point if an experienced host is needed.

That's what 2of4 is. I randomly choose one of the six setups by rolling a die. I won't say which, but you'll probably figure it out along the way.

Really it's your call Henry. As always, when I suggest things for the next game, they are only suggestions and the list should take priority.
