Because of that very reason. It is a far more powerful role. Therefore, to me it makes sense to drop the extra, less powerful role, and add a counter role to the mafia. The balance shifts just by adding an extra mafia, let alone one with a role, and I don't think Jaron would shift it so drastically by eliminating the detective.

Either way, Riptide isn't the detective.

I wasn't sure what to make of Riptide before he claimed villager, but now I'm suspicious, I know I'm not a vanilla townie. I was expecting him to claim a power role, like the watcher. As for taking roles out of the game, don't you think the village having all the same power roles is a little overpowering? I'm certain something has been taken out. I'd like to hear what Tahu thinks before I vote.

Massive FoS on Market. He wasn't even being voted for and now he is claiming vanilla. There was no need at all, and I don't believe it either.

Why are you waiting for Tahu? When does Tahu ever come up with his own original point of view? All you are likely to get is him agreeing with someone else, or pointing out the obvious.

Well I really doubt we have 4 Villagers, if there are in fact three Mafia now that leaves the village with 6 players. Of those 6 two are guaranteed to be normal Villagers. And with the number of Mafia increasing to three presumably I don't see Jaron removing two power roles from the Village so that would mean 3 Villagers at most.

Therefore one of Riptide and Market is a liar, and I'm more inclined at this moment to think Riptide is scum, although both of the are scummy.

Also if we do have a Detective I'd really encourage them to investigate Top and Henry, just to be sure we aren't letting them skate by. Unless I'm mistaken, Henry "confirmed" Top based on a paraphrased Role PM. Something they could have easily faked if they were both Mafia.

So basically, Riptide is scummiest to me still, but FoS@Market, Henry, and Top.

Hey, you are welcome to doubt Top's claim, I only confirmed him in my own mind as I am the only one who recieved the same PM. You don't want to believe me either? That's fine. Just remember, if there IS a framer then you also just told that person who to frame.

Hold up now, let's not go jumping to so many conclusions.

1) For now I am taking the confirmation for what it is, a possible good thing for the village that may or may not be real. Never a good idea to take things at face value, baring a Detective result of course.

2) If there is a Framer, best of luck to him choosing who to frame. I suggested who the Detective should investigate and that's it, weather he follows my advice or not is completely up to him. All the while if he is busy Framing you or Top that would leave plenty of other people for the Detective to investigate if they chose to.

As I slept everyone fell ass-backward into a pool of stupidity it seems, between Market, Scar, and Tahu....

I don't really get why you're suspicious of me, of all people. Your suspicion on me hinges on Lander, Henry and I being mafia together, and one look at Day One would tell you that is not the case.

The Detective's investigation would be wasted on me. I am as clear as you are.

Henry I could understand investigating, but really I think he's one of the least suspicious people alive right now. He was one of the first to push on Lander and has been all in all progressive this game, exactly in line with how he usually plays as town.

At this point I'm just going to go ahead and vote for Riptide. His initial actions were not too different from what he usually does, but his defenses absolutely suck. Either way his death will yield a wealth of information.

I don't contribute nothing, I just don't post unless I can add something that hasn't been said, or give my opinion on the days events. I've said what I think of the situation with Riptide. How many votes have been cast? 3/4? I'm not convinced enough to put the last vote in, I have a feeling the game has been changed around, especially with the power roles. If you believe that there is no detective, and since Riptide cannot be a doctor, and the chance of any more vanilla townies is slim, especially if you yourself actually ARE one, then there isn't much reason for you to vote.

OR, vote for someone else. We haven't got time or numbers to NOT try to lynch someone, and it is peculiar that you would rather wait and listen for Tahu's advice rather than someone like me, Top or Scar... especially when those two are practically confirmed and I know I'm pro-town.
