Hi all, im currently deciding whether or not to start up rs after a few years out. If i do then i have a blue hallaween mask and have seen that its worth around 125m now. Wish a few years back i didnt trade my red hallaween mask for drag chain and sell my green for 15m!! ha. anyway if i was to sell the mask how could i best use it to level up a skill to make the money back. i would post my levels but dont know how to add an image :? im average levels fletching 75, wc 78 etc. i would be returning as a member if i do. Thankyou for any help.

hey!
largely unsure how i didnt see this earlier.... but welcome!

even if you dont decide to play RS you can always stick around the village. we have a TF2 server etc. and many people here are willing to help and offer advice on their favorite games!

anyway, RS has certainly changed. many graphical updates have been released, the wild has been re-released. and several other 'quirky' things have been released(squeal of fortune).

i would suggest testing it out for yourself to see if you like all the changes. as runescape is certainly not the same game it used to be.

It's for you to decide, but I'd honestly not do it.

Oh man Jan, you just got zinged by Riptide. How much does THAT suck?

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

Slavery with payment and education, the perfect disguise.

I generally play RS in cycles, normally I'll renew my membership and play between major console game releases.

And a lot of people have a lot of crap to say about RS, myself included. But at the end of the day, there's still a lot of things to do and a lot of fun to be had for a fair price. But like riptide said, only you can decide whether or not you want to play.

I think the best way for you to decide is the play for a month or so and see how much you enjoy the game.. If you find it fun, just start playing again and if not, just stop.

And like MM6 said, a lot of members here play games like TF2 and Skyrim and you're more than welcomed to join us there :D

Like Lander, I play in cycles, except not consistently at all. I just renew for a month and play when I'm feeling up to it. It's definitely a great game, but there's been life and TF2 and such. Any way even if you don't come back to Scape, which by the way you'll be in a pretty good place as far as money if you do, stick around the forums, we're a lot of fun :D

Having been a long term member, I'd say don't join. I'm only reluctant to full on quit because if I return I don't want to pay a higher price for membership. And I don't want to forget about all of the time I've put into it.

Breaking the habit is one of the hardest things about quitting, especially when you're so invested in your character. Finding a new timesink and creating new memories is probably a better option rather than paying for a game you might not be enjoying the same way that you used to.

Rs is very different.... Its okay if you dont mind forking over a lot of cash to jagex to get new items. The direction this company has now differs greatly from the time era when you quit. Play at your risk. :)
