My biannual "hi, I'm old" post

Greetings and salutations,

Consider this my typical every-once-in-a-while pop-in to RV and greeting. I'm rapidly approaching my 9 year anniversary to RV, I believe(can't check my join date until I post this and look back on my own post), and I must say that my time here at RV, having been active mainly from 2003-2005, was some of the most formative experiences in my life, and for that I must express my sincere thanks. One looks back on one's juvenile years(which 2003-2005 certainly were for me) with a certain rueful embarrassment at childish actions, but in general I learned a lot from RV.

I logged into the Chat today and spoke with defeat(an ironic double entendre, I think) and he clued me into all of the sadness and strangeness that's been going on around here. Very upsetting to hear, quite frankly. I always associated this place with some of the best years of my life. It's in that spirit that I encourage you all to not let RV go(though I acknowledge the hypocrisy in that I myself am utterly and completely inactive here).

Anyway, off to fade back into obscurity..

although, id have to agree. his message seems well spoken and thought out.
i chuckled a bit though, at the way he said "One looks back on one's...." it reminded me of bicentennial man
