P2P only highscores from next week

- We’re pushing back the Wilderness graphics update mentioned in Behind The Scenes, so it’ll no longer be out in November. We’re sorry about this, but it‘s necessary in order to schedule in some of our upcoming anti-bot measures.

Not sure what I think about this. It's certainly going to free up a lot of spots on the highscores, but a lot of people worked very hard for their rank (For example, the people who were first to 200m in a stat will no longer have that rank).

What complete bullshit. I'm no where near the top on any skill's highscore, but I'm pissed for the ones who are. It was a feature I used often when playing.

This was my first thought. I always love it when Jagex tries to justify their actions with explanations that don't even make sense.

Just another ploy to get f2p players to buy membership, but all they're really accomplishing is pissing off the veterans.

I give it maybe 6 more months until they reset all your members stats to level 1 if your account has no membership credit for X days. JUST BECAUSE PLAYERS ARE BORED OF THE GAME RIGHT NOW DOESN'T MEAN THEY SHOULDN'T KEEP THROWING MONEY AT US.

I can't believe they're doing this either. I may not be exactly high in the highscores, I think my only skill of note was Thieving at level 78 or something, but still! To think that I won't be shown there anymore annoys be greatly.

Also there are a lot of players that did work really hard to get there, and now their gone too? For no reason than because JaGeX are fools... If people want to get on the Highscore list, then work to get on there... ¬_¬

I would have to disagree here. The one good thing that I think Jagex did by making the hiscores members only is they have eliminated all of the bot accounts from the scores, now I think they did this inadvertently but it was still done :mrgreen:

I liked the latest update, actually. with the tool belt + coin thing... though I think the game is getting stupid and overly childish/easy.

You can carry EVERYTHING you need in the tool belt. wtf.

I don't see why they couldn't have just made it like:

"Accounts active past Jan X will be readded to the list" or something like that.
The botters won't be back in the same way as they were before.

I see how they needed to remove the mass of botters from the list. But some of us worked damn hard for our levels, so... really? necessary to remove everyone from the list that isn't currently a member?
