Anybody else go see it this evening? I found it pretty disappointing. Not nearly as bad as X-3 but still pretty bad. The mutants they showed (besides the main characters from the previous ones) were pretty lame. There wasn't a whole lot of action, either. I did enjoy some of the insights they showed you with the relationships between the major players and how they all came to be but it just didn't do it for me like the first movie did or Origins for that matter.

Share your thoughts please!

Haven't seen it yet, but excited to go see it nonetheless.

Thanks for the review though :)

Dakota.

I was pleased with it. The movie wasn't meant to be just a huge mutant showdown, but rather about the relationships between the characters. (Like you mentioned) I thought it was a good change of pace. But of course, I'm a huge X-Men fanboy. So, bleh.

I'm really happy with what they did. When a movie based off of a really popular story comes out, everyone expects it to be a Micheal Bay-like movie. Transformers is good and all, but Revenge of the Fallen lacked some really good story-line, while X: First Class has more story-line than special effects. The mutant powers were awesome, I don't know why you don't think so, they were brilliantly executed.
