@Rayseima/Landerpurex/TheAnimal: That's a possibility perhaps, but being over 500 pictures + 15 flash animations, I'd probably put it off site, and I'd also break it into chapters for easier page loading (and less server overloading.) If it was all in one post it wouldn't be through RV.

@twin: Yeah, that was his Spider Sense tingling. It was pretty much akin to the cup-dwelling spider yelling "I'M COMINNNNNNNNNNNNNNG" but Jimmy was too far away to hear it any way but subconsciously.

Did you ever have a plan for Jimmy being in such need that he would release the Genie from the 8-ball? Or was that going to be a smartaleck-gag to go on?

Ah. Nope, there was never a genie, and smashing the Magic 8 Ball would have simply been a bad idea!

It just always gave incredibly helpful information, almost like a Magic Cue Ball that was black and had a hole in the bottom and a big 8 painted on top!

Glad you asked.

I intentionally made the skill name vague on purpose because of how powerful the skill was. I don't recall how exactly I came to it (probably in some very small way due to SSBB) but Dictionary.com lists synonyms of chimera as "dream, fantasy, delusion".

Jimmy's Chimeran skill was basically the act of making imaginary objects real. The biggest blow to the skill was the Great Rollback of 2009, because we were just reaching a bunch of posts were people were actually discussing doing this, and then it was ALL LOST and no one but me seemed to remember it (and of course I wasn't going to say so.) The biggest hints I ever gave was that whenever someone tried to gain Chimeran experience, the reply would often be to "think about it".

The following picture, if Jimmy had had the skill at the time, would have netted him a ton of Chimeran exp:

For anyone who's interested, in lieu of The Adventures of Jimmy, I started a webcomic back on my birthday.

It's got six comics so far and updates Mondays. Remember how I always said I can't draw? It's even more obvious now, since this thing is entirely hand-drawn.

Please pardon the massive nearly-year bump. ^_^;

But I'd like to announce that I finally and permanently archived Jimmy on my webcomic's site.

Besides the fact that Tinypic deleted a lot of my pictures, and I'm changing the Flash animation links so you won't be able to watch them here anymore anyway, the new compiled version of TAoJ boasts a couple of extra features. I went through the entire story again (several times actually) and split the adventure into chapters and individual pages. There are 14 (named) chapters in all. Additionally, I split some of the pages up to be more readable and flow better, so the "pages" in this final version of TAoJ might not necessarily end where my posts end on RV. (For instance, Chapter 12 starts in the middle of one of my posts.)

Long story short, don't read Jimmy on RV because it's broken! Read it here instead:
