I voted yes... I played in the Wilderness back in 2002... it was so fun, even if you weren't pking!

But basically this. Runescape is still going to put on the kid gloves that has ruined so much of the mystery and excitement of the game. Putting up a message that says "Caution - This is the Wilderness, where bah bah bah" removes the old fear and superstition that went into going into the dreaded wild. I understood this when I was fourteen - you'd just have to be stupid not to understand that you can lose stuff in the wild. It's not rocket science. There is no need for half of the "informative" messages/warnings that RS gives, basically so twelve year olds can play. Hell, younger than that - King Gimli was super mature when he was eleven here, way back in the day. *That* is who needs to play RS... but now 90% of RS is just people who fail IRL.

Protip: if you can't get a relationship or read a book, don't play an online game.

As for free trade... uh oh, it's better this way, but prepare for autoer hell.
