When ever I stop and look at my join date and other peoples, I wonder about all the time Ive spent on runescape. how many times Ive clicked a piece of coal rock or iron, clicked a yew tree and cut a log into a bow.. attacked a monster. How many hours I spent literally doing nothing but hanging around in runescape to lazy to train or anything. I think to myself what could I have done with the time I spent on runescape which was probably around 10 thousands hours. I literally played runescape from the time I was twelve until I was almost seventeen. I'm torn between believeing that I would of probably just spent the time in front of the tv and not bothering to do my homework anyway and other more important things. The only thing I think that really is a plus to all the time I spent was playing runescape was the friends I made. People who I would play with for hours and just talk to about w\e and got really close to even when they were an ocean away. When runescape stopped I lost some of my friends because they went off to college or were tired of wasting time on runescape.

was runescape worth it?

45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."
48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.

No, it was not worth it for me.

Shoulda done something else more worthwhile..

I can safely say that the only good things i got outta RS was

A.) Learning how to type faster.
B.) Learning about RV.
C.) Meeting a small handful of friends

But yeah, the countless hours I spent training mining and woodcutting... Lame when i think about it. I woulda learned to type faster from other things anyways, and i dont talk to any of those friends i've made anymore. RVs always been good to me, so i cant complain there..

Oh well, whatever. It was fun at the time, so i guess I cant be totally regretful.

No, it wasn't. But I only spent about 2 years on it and those 2 years were before I went into middle school, so it was all fine for me.

Actually, RS = RV = cool people that I talk to outside of RV.

I won't carry the RS skills I've trained into the future, nor the Abyssal whip, nor any exaltation from beating a quest. But is it really about that? When I quit, I will leave not just knowing more about any single game I've ever played, but having learned many invaluable lessons about myself and others. If Runescape was not multi-player, I would not be here at RV, much less RS.

Take away all the levels, all the GP, all the QPs, and I have nothing, right?

Wrong. It was worth it.

His logic is flawless. Topsummoner

I concur. We must lynch him now for the sake of the metagame, we MUST teach people that they can't go around claiming "anniversary" and expect leniency. Topsummoner.
