Rain, winds in forecast for Super Bowl
Quote:
NFL.com wire reports

MIAMI (Feb. 3, 2007) -- The Super Bowl may be wetter -- and windier -- than players and fans might like.

Brisk winds of 10 mph to 20 mph and a temperatures in the mid- to upper-60s are forecast for the game Feb. 4 (6:25 p.m. ET, CBS) along with scattered showers throughout the day.

"It's going to make it feel cooler than it will actually turn out to be," Dan Dixon, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said.

The weather will certainly be a lot more accommodating than in Indianapolis or Chicago, where hometown fans of the Colts and Bears are bracing for subzero wind chills.

As I write this, my hick neighbors are screaming and honking their car as the beer cans are thrown, the dogs bark and I actually hear what I think might be fireworks in the background. Did I mention I live in Indianapolis? :D But.. to be honest, I really could care less for football or the Superbowl though I can appreciate it somewhat and will watch it only casually sometimes.

It seemed to me that Chicago had alot of bad luck during the game, from what I could see but ah well. I have to admit overall, Manning and Dungee both are probably the cleanest cut guys in the NFL. Neither hardly even curse, much less anything else so I am glad the nice guys did well for a change.

I just thank god its over... :P

Bears QB Rex Grossman has played inconsistent all season. He was due for a bad game. Once again Congrats Colts.

The Bears were too worried about the long ball it seems, for the entire game. Peyton may make a 3 yard pass but by the time the defense got there, it was a 7 yard play. Their defensive strategy and not adjusting still boggles my mind.

The Bears are idiots if they keep Grossman as their started next year. He made two throws today I don't think a high school quarterback would make. One went back for a TD. They were sooo badly under-thrown it was pathetic. They really need a quarterback, even an average QB would be an improvement.

Colts did play pretty well. Have to give it to the coaching staff and players. They were very well prepared and stuck to what worked. Just picking the Bears defense apart piece by piece.

I'm going downtown for the parade and rally tomorrow. Hooray for no school! My private school won the state championship in football, so they decided to give us the day after the SuperBowl off way before they knew that the Colts were going to be in it. I'd say it worked out well.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Dungy and his boys sure did earn it. Bask in the glory. See you guys next year :)

I'm so pumped!!!

As an Australian we don't even really even hear about the grid iron at all. This is the only game we get on free to air TV all year and on a really bad channel with fairly bad reception :(
To top all this off I had to go to work just after half time :( Guess I will be watching the replay tonight :P

Gratz to the Colts :)

Now this is over bring on our national game, The AFL. Under two months till the premiership season begins :D

I'm tired of hearing that already. He is still a young guy!

Already hearing people compare him to John Elway, Joe Montana, etc.....
