Hey fellow villagers.

Just wanted to start a discussion on car audio, thought maybe we might have a few lovers of it in the village. Myself, I love my car audio, I attempt to make my car sound good without breaking the bank in the process. Also, there is no one in my town that have 10 sub woofers and 5 amps, it's not like in major cities where people spend tens of thousands of dollars on it. My town has 1,200 people.

With that being said.

Post some pictures, or list some of the thing you might have in your car audio setup.

Right now in my car, which is undergoing a major audio over-haul I have,

Front Speakers; 6.5" Rockford Fosgate full range speakers.

Back Speakers; 6.5"(I think) Energy speakers, these were in the car before I bought it, they are being replaced soon with Rockford Fosgate full range 6x9's.

Deck; Sony Explode, not sure of the model. It's one of the ones that allowed a usb connected iPod to be played though the deck without touching the iPod.

Amp; Dual (Not plural) 600 watt, 4 channel amp, this is just a cheap amp I bought off a friend for the time being. Soon to be replaced with a 2000+ watt monoblock.

Sub; 1000 watt 10" Pioneer, in a none ported box. This thing suprised me actually, I was going to get rid of it and get another brand, now I think I will just buy another one and put it in a separate box, to allow for easy removal when trunk is needed. Thing pounds great with that cheap amp, for only being a 350 watt RMS.

It's your turn, let everyone know what you have, or want to upgrade to!

Don't have a car so I don't have much to add, but I can agree in that having a good system is one of the biggest factors in me deciding on a car.

People with audio that just sounds over the top with poor music need to go and have a car crash.

Quite an opinion you have there... For the sake of discussion, what type of music is "poor"?

I hate the whole "boy racer" image, they drive up and down the seafront in my town, with the same hardcore darren styles rubbish coming out of every car. You only need a sound system that you can hear.

I'm of the opinion that buying high end/extra car audio equipment is like buying a gold plated phone... It looks nice, I guess, but it's totally unnecessary.

Home audio on the other hand... I'm a fan of.

Nissan Sentra has a pretty good standard audio system. My ex-girlfriend had one and it sounded nice from what I remember.

Thanks what I drive.

Mines an older Sentra though, a 2001. I'm not a fan of the newer Sentra style.

She had a 2010. I only drove a few times on longer trips since she didn't like long-distance driving that much, but from what I remember it wasn't bad.
