Well I am about to finish with my 200th run at 6 KC, and then do 100 runs at 12 to get some more data there.

Here is a list on the number of runs made at the following KC levels.

KC - Runs
06 -- 208
07 -- 13
08 -- 9
09 -- 128
10 -- 15
11 -- 12
12 -- 23 This Will Be My Next Set Of 100
13 -- 26
14 -- 212
15 -- 18
16 -- 10
17 -- 6
18 - - 108
19- - 6
20- - 7
21-- 102
22 -- 1

As you can see there are some gaps, just to get a substantial amount of data, at some point I would like to have all the data for 100 runs up as far as 25 KC, although I think that after 18 you are getting diminishing returns on your investment (Less drops for the food and time you are using) but we won't know that for sure until we get more numbers in.

If you want to save on food, I would suggest getting some more data at the 8 or 10 KC level.

Go my first item on my 5th run last night, but it was the second worst item, Ahrim's staff. Oh well, I'm still making money with bloods and bolt racks.

Okay, my newest series of 100 runs is complete, as of June 18.

Here is the raw data.

Runs 801-900. On this next series of runs I went in with the intent of having a kill count of 6 on every run, the goal of this was to verify some of the data that was received on the first set of 6 KC.

Runs 801-900
Total Kills 600 – 6 kills per run
37,043 Minds
3,001 Deaths
17,804 Chaos
0 Bloods
146,543 Gold
0 Bolt Racks

Half Keys on Runs - None
9 Brother drops on runs Run 802, 817, 819, 832, 862(double), 863(double),878
Dragon Medium - None

So what are the totals from these 900 runs? Here they are.

276,086 Mind Runes
52,186 Death Runes
119,286 Chaos Runes
23,377 Blood Runes
$1.113.321 Golds
17,594 Bolt Racks

27 Half Keys
67 Brother Drops
5 Dragon Mediums

Now on to the best part, the drops.

Run 802 – Guthan’s Platebody
Run 817 – Karil’s Leathertop
Run 819 - Guthan’s Helm
Run 832 – Torag’s Platebody
Run 862 – Guthan’s Helm & Karil’s Coif
Run 863 – Verac’s Flail & Torag’s Hammers
Run 878 – Karil’s Crossbow

Not bad at all, 9 Brother drops. Runs 862-863 were very nice, those 2 runs netted me a Guth Helm, Coif, Flail and Hammers.

So, over 900 runs complete now and I still have never had 1 drop. Guthan’s Chainskirt. Obviously, Guthan is the only Barrow armor I do not have a complete set of.

Another piece of information on this last set. Remember the first set of 100 runs at 6 KC, I had 2 brother drops. We all thought that was an aberration, which is why I went back to take another look at the 6 KC.

On this series, the Brother drops came back to normal with 9 drops in those 100 runs. Much better than the 2 drops the first 100.

But some other findings were reinforced in a major way.

Any other series of 100 runs I get Blood Runes and Bolt Racks in the thousands.

The first series of 100 runs a 6 KC I got Zero Blood Runes and Zero Bolt Racks
This past series of 100 runs at 6 KC?
Same thing – Zero Bloods and Zero Bolts.

Boys and Girls, that’s a flat out guarantee as far as I am concerned. You will not get Blood Runes or Bolt Racks with 6 KC as long as the 6 are the Brothers.

My guess is that those 2 items are generated by the creatures you kill. If you killed 2 brothers and 3 or 4 creatures for a KC of 5 or 6 I am willing to bet you would get Bloods and Bolts as part of a random mix.

But take this to the bank – You can not get Bloods and Bolts from the 6 Brothers.

Okay, next observation. Some info on what you are looking at.

Listed by group, self explanatory, each group represents 100 runs in a row. The first number is the KC (Kill Count) Number. This always includes the 6 Brothers. If it is 2 numbers, example 6-18, then it was a set of 100 runs with various KC throughout between 6 KC and 18 KC. The one labeled “Var” was one with KC all over, from 6 to 21. This data is listed in order of amount, the runs with the largest number of drops will be at the top of each section, down to the run with the least amount at the bottom of each section

Lets go then.

[hr]

Mind Runes – You get more Mind Runes at 6 KC than any other. Again this is a no brainer, look at the numbers. Keep your KC low and you get more Minds.

Mind Runes
6 KC - 42644
6 KC - 37043
6-18 - 34523
9 KC - 30346
14 KC - 28961
Var - 27703
21 KC - 25164
18 KC - 24868
9-14 – 22007

The sweet spot on Death Runes seems to be in the 9-14, although you continue to get good numbers at higher kill counts, as opposed to lower. Still when I want Deaths, I will go for the mid range numbers. I am currently doing 100 runs at 12 KC to verify this data.

Death Runes
9-14 - 7959
9 KC - 7928
21 KC - 6442
18 KC - 6398
14 KC - 6296
Var - 5880
6-18 - 5365
6 KC - 3001
6 KC – 2414

6 KC, any questions? Look at the run track, lower KC higher Chaos – higher KC, lower Chaos. End of story

Chaos Runes
6 KC - 17804
6 KC - 16206
Var - 14363
9 KC - 13463
14 KC - 12281
18 KC - 12233
6-18 - 10765
9-14 - 10358
21 KC – 10269

Again, the good numbers for Bloods look to be in the mid to higher range 14 and up.
Blood Runes
9-14 - 3915
14 KC - 3778
21 KC - 3630
6-18 - 3301
9 KC - 3022
18 KC - 2887
Var - 2844
6 KC - 0
6 KC – 0

It’s almost like there is a trade off between Gold and Bloods/Bolts. At 6 KC you get the most gold, this is of course where you are getting the least of the other 2. I would suggest keeping you KC low if you want larger Gold drops. I would also suggest you get your head examined because this is the last reason you should be Barrowing. :D

Gold
6 KC - 161860
6 KC - 146543
Var - 131549
9-14 - 128852
6-18 - 123812
9 KC - 113052
18 KC - 98332
21 KC - 97490
14 KC – 97387

Bolts, like Bloods like the big numbers. Look at the climb from 0 KCand up, past 9 KC al the way to the higher numbers. I don’t know if there was a Plateau at 18/21 KC or if I just ran into this number by random chance. Bolt Racks seem to be the only item that continues to increase as your KC goes up. I will have to visit 25 KC someday to see if 100 runs will produce Bolts close to, or in excess of 4000.

Bolt Racks
18 KC - 3487
21 KC - 3487
6-18 - 3354
9-14 - 2986
14 KC - 2891
Var - 1179
9 KC - 210
6 KC - 0
6 KC – 0

One of the things that we need to investigate is creature kill influence. I posted some data once that showed that the creature you kill in the tunnels also influences what you get. Much more work needs to be done on specific creature kills do determine what influences the most.
Here is a re-post of what little findings I have got on this issue.

If you want Mind Runes – kill the Skeletons with shields or Giant Crypt Spiders
For Death Runes – Crypt Spiders or Bloodworms
For Blood Runes – Giant Crypt Spider is your best choice
For Chaos Runes – Skeletons, Crypt Spiders or Giant Crypt Spiders
For Gold – have your head examined, this is not the place to be if your just after gold
For Bolt Racks – Skeletons with shields is by far the best return, followed by regular Skeletons

Remember this is only a 15 run sample of each creature.

Well onto my last set of 100 out of my first 1000 runs. Getting 1000 runs was a goal I had set for myself and I am getting close, of course I would have though that I would have got all the equipment as drops by now also. :(

This set will be at 12 KC. I want to continue to develop the drop numbers in the 8-12 KC range. 1) to see where Bolts numbers really start to climb and 2) to keep gathering data for the charts so have better information to build our hypothesize on.

We see that we can have huge gaps in Brother Drops, over 50 runs in some instances, and then get 4 drops in 2 runs in others. Brother Drops are completely random, but the average appears to be about 8% of the time you will get a brother drop.

Hope you guys have enjoyed pouring over this data, it is a lot to read I know, but if you are serious about the Barrow, it’s good to know that you can influence the drops you want to get out of the chest. (not the Brother Drops of course)

System and Snare, i'll add both of you tonight when I get home. I make no promises when I will be on as my family comes first. :) I try to play some everyday, sometimes an hour sometimes 4. Quite often I will get on for 20 minutes and then back off for an hour, then back on. Just warning you guys that I rarely get on and stay on in long blocks.

Rarius in game.

Thanks Guys and hope to see you, spade in hand kicking those Brothers in the teeth as you plunder their tombs.

Does slayer dart hitting depend on how much of a magic bonus you have with your clothing?

I know im sort of hijacking Rarius' thread all th time, but from being down thee ive seen many doing slayer dart in guthans and full rune. I cant confirm them but there are rumours that it doesnt affect how well it hits. I seem to hit the same fighting torag in torag patye, ahrim skirt and rune kite, than fighting him with full ahrim and pray book - but I havent and wont get a large enough sample to clarify.

Congrats on the skirt System

Never hesitate to provide info if you know it. This isn't my thread it is our thread, I was just the guy that started it, but it's for anybody to share information pertaining to the Barrows and making it easier for our fellow Barrowers and provide information to them that will, helpfully, provide them with some measure of control over what they aquire from the chest.

And yes Snare, Son Of Hades is correct, Magic Dart works independent of what you wear. I did about 600 runs with wearing predominately a mage outfit, then I got turned on to the info you are asking about so I tried it out. Now all I wear is Black D-Hide, Barrow Gloves, Rune Boots God Cape, Fury Ammy and Helm (cant even remember if it is archer or farseer helm :) )

The results? No change, I hit just as hard and often now as with the mage outfit. And thats with 310 runs of observation so I feel pretty confident with that answer. :) Hope that helps.

Now to get slayer to 55  First I need a half-decent item to get some money for arrows (making steel arrows takes years)

Dagganoths drop lots of arrows as well, I have got thousands from my days of killing fire giants, giant frogs drop them in good quantity when they do drop them, Wolfpersons, hill and moss giants and also the totosie’s as well. Also the Archer found in the Castle In Ardougne, and also Burthorpe Castle.

My preference is the Dagganoths and the Fire Giants, although I understand the Archer isn’t bad either but I have never trained on him.

There are others, like Steel Dragons, and Abby demons but I figured you wanted creatures that you could go through rather quickly. And of course, the Dagg’s and Fire’s are just fun to kill and you get lots of other possible drops that you can use to buy steel arrows as well. :)

Sorry about that Snare, they are not 'really' Barrow gloves, that’s just what they are called because of their visual characteristics and the bonus's they provide.

You get them from the Culinaromancer's Chest. You access the chest in the Recipe For Disaster Quest. The quest has multiple sub-quests. As you complete each sub-quest, more items appear in the Culinaromancer's Chest, which is located in the Basement of Lumbridge castle, under the Kitchen. Additionally, the chest also provides you access to not only the Gloves and other new weapons  if you want to call them that, but also provides access to a food store where fairly large quantities of many common food items can be found, it also provides you with bank access.

While all the gloves have the same name (in the chest) they are different colors and prices. Based on the armor that is currently available in the game, the gloves have been named accordingly.

Gloves (Bronze) - 130gp
Gloves (Iron) - 325gp
Gloves (Steel) - 650gp
Gloves (Black) 1,300gp
Gloves (Mithril) - 1,950gp
Gloves (Adamant) - 3,250gp
Gloves (Rune) - 6,500gp
Gloves (Dragon) - 130,000gp
Gloves (Barrows) - 130,000gp

Barrows gloves have the following stats

Attack
Stab: +12
Slash: +12
Crush: +12
Magic: +6
Range: +12

Defense
Stab: +12
Slash: +12
Crush: +12
Magic: +6
Range: +12

Other
Strength:+12
Prayer: 0

As you can see, Barrow Gloves and Dragon Gloves cost the same, however the stats are not. Yet people continue to buy Dragon Gloves for 1 reason – it completes their Red outfit :)

Stats on the Dragon Gloves

Attack
Stab: +9
Slash: +9
Crush: +9
Magic: +5
Range: +9

Defense
Stab: +9
Slash: +9
Crush: +9
Magic: +5
Range: +9

Other
Strength:+9
Prayer: 0

They are great gloves, and Recipe For Disaster is a great quest, but be prepared for many hours at the computer to finish that one off.
