Alright, so these days it's all "Yu-Gi-Oh's stupid, etc". Well, while browsing Youtube tonight, I see Yu-Gi-Oh episode 212 and get interested in seeing how far the series went after I stopped watching. (You know, once it stopped being cool)

I seriously couldn't stop watching. I was amazed how long ago it's been since I last watched any of the series, and how much I used to love it. Watched all the way to the last ep, episode 224, in one night, and I plan on going back and watching the chunk of the series I missed. I loved the ending (although it was a bit cheesy, but you get that with any anime), and seriously didn't want it to end.

So I ask any of you who have said Yu-Gi-Oh sucks for whatever reason, is it really all that bad? For any of you who stopped watching like I did, I'd suggest watching the ending. :)

(And even if you do think it's stupid, it's still better than Naruto fillers. 8-[ )

I agree Naruto fillers do suck. I used to watch them, but then I got bored since it was so repetitive. It's always:

1. Get Mission
2. Meet bad guy
3. Get owned in fight
4. Flashbacks, running around talking
5. Own bad guy in fight
6. Happy ending

Anyways back on topic I used to love Yu-gi-oh when I was little, but steadily lost interest. Although I don't think it's stupid or anything. Maybe I'll watch some episodes later.

Honestly, What I would say is that you go out and find the manga of Yu-Gi-Oh , then come and talk ... cause the American anime is nothing compared to the manga and the jap anime.. , you see Yugi defeat he's foe's in american , in manga you see him turn there insides out... so yes , much was changed.

That's good 'ole american dub'ing for you! Yu-Gi-Oh! Really isn't as bad as it was made out to be; I was even hooked on GX until I got to the end of the current episodes...

Trust me, I usually prefer subs/manga, but I watched the dub for so long as a kid.. I'd like to keep Yu-gi-oh as a kids show in my head. It's my childhood. :o

It's on my list of things I'd rather watch than channel-surf, but if I come across it it's purely by luck. :P The storyline seems interesting at times.

And after watching the hilarious Abridged episodes on YouTube, it actually makes me want to see the original ones sometime to see how the plot actually unfolded rather than in the Abridged series.

Kids anime always gets screwed over when its dubbed. Sad fact of life really
they just know that agegroup isn't gonna be as heavy into that side of it to
care about all that so much as they just really want to sell toys.

The manga *is* better than the show a ton better, but neither are anything I
ever really cared much for though.

I just never got into the game and the show was pretty corny. The depth of it
just doesn't compare all that well to the other shows I watch either, just not
in its demographic basicly.

Yeah. I had been watching Yu Gi Oh GX while waiting for my mate to come down so we can walk to school, and why oh why must they explain what their next move will be? Seriously, in the 5 minutes they say that, they could have done it, or the other person could have countered them.
And the dubbed voices all sound so gay D=

Other than Pokémon, not a single dub of any series has pwned sub from what I watched so far.

I dunno, there is Dragon Ball Z, then again you might have never watched the craptacular anime.

The first 4 yugioh volumes I believe never feature the card game. The 5th does once.

I used to watch yugioh back a few years ago. I remember watching every episode of the first "story line" if you'd like to call it with Pegasus and everyone else. Then I kind of just stopped watching after that. I may have to take a look at the manga though :D

The Duelist Kingdom ark will always be my favorite. :P

I actually started watching Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0 today, it's the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh that wasn't dubbed. It's pretty weird how it hardly mentions Duel Monsters, and how much different it is overall. XD (Kiba's hair is green O_o )

It's pretty cool though; It actually has guns and violence and stuff. Yami's taking no prisoners. XD Yugi gets beat up a lot too. :-s
