Yeah, I went into FLCL with amazing recommendations, but I can't say I really enjoyed watching it.

It's definitely a good show, but that certainly doesn't mean everyone will like it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they really wanted something crazy for a change. I plan to watch it again, eventually. I hope I can appreciate it more the second time around, because I know there's a lot to like about it, a lot that I very likely missed the first time around.

I'm currently watching RIN ~Daughters of Mnemosyne~. I'm only 2 episodes in (6 episodes in total, each episode is about 45minutes), but so far it's not that great. It's like their main goal was to come up with a stupid amount of fan-service scenes, and then somehow tie it all together with an okayish story.

This looks pretty good. I've watched the first ep and already there's 2 things I like : the character design and the fact that FINALLY someone understood that spaceship engines don't make noises in space.

Jeez Planetes is seriously underrated. Up to ep 13 now, and it's definitely in my top 10, maybe even top 5. Now, don't go thinking this is a super duper amazing and flawless anime, but it deserves way more love than what it's getting now.

Thanks for mentioning it Rocky, cause otherwise I would've never found out about it.

2. One Piece / Naruto
3. FLCL; Something about it caught my eye I suppose, got more enjoyable as I got older

Trigun is definitely the best-made manga I've read, Fullmetal Alchemist (NOT Brotherhood) is the best anime I've watched. Also, while it may not be a Japanese anime, I've gotta make mention of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo for being so damn funny. Fuzzy Bunny

These are pretty much the best of what I've seen. Not gonna waste any time trying to order them (so they're listed alphabetically). It's just not fair to compare them all against each other.
