From watching anime, I have actually acquired quite a few Japanese words and phrases from simply watching and reading the subtitles of the animes. I often find myself muttering short Japanese phrases in everyday life. Now I'm wondering, how much Japanese have you learned if any from watching the various animes you watch. I'm sure you guys have watched much more than me ^_^;

Same thing, I've taken an interest in learning more too. I wasn't allowed to take Japanese I in highschool this year because my parents wanted me to continue with Latin, but I bought a bunch of books, a dictionary, and japanese learning tapes to try to teach myself more/ reference to. :)

Baka or bakayaro is idiot.
I learned the greetings, and some random words...
matte- wait
hiaku - hurry
seigi - justice
yami - darkness
kage - shadow
watashi - I
boku - I (for males I think)
anata - you
kokoro - heart
omoi - feelings
desu - is/are kind of..
no - "of" or a preposition similar to it
tsubasa - wings
hitomi - eyes
kusou - damnit or some kind of swearing...
nani - what
asura - demon
mina - everyone
ikimasu - go/start/begin?
kowai - scary
kawaii - cute
shonen - boy
shoujo - girl
suki - love
hai - yes
iie? - no
shinigami - death god
ergo - death.. i think..?
janai.. or something seems to mean "not" or "isn't"
and adding "ne?" at the end of the sentence is like saying "blah blah blah, no?" or "isn't that right?"
sugoi - amazing
oshojirou - interesting
kotoba - words
sakebi - cry, scream

and the numbers...
ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, shichi, hachi..and I always forget 9 and 10.

That's about all I can randomly think up now... and it's after watching anime for 2 years. I also think I know things like brother (nisan for older), sister (nesan?), father (tousan?), and mother (kasan?)
I didn't just pick all of those up though. It's more like I notice I'm hearing a certain word in several different anime at dif times, and I decide to look it up and end up remembering it.

Rofl, I like how you went from "no" to "death god".

I can't think of any off the top of my head. But when I do watch anime and I hear the words, I can usually remember what they mean.

I've learned a little bit I guess. Not enough to be able to write it here.
Guess it's one perk, but it's not really like I'm gonna learn to speak it off
them any time soon.

I've learnt the basic greetings, and a majority of the words Ross has learnt too. One he didn't have, I don't think, was Itterasshai, which is "have a good trip"
I remember that from Chobits, cause it was said at least 10 times per episode.. very polite them thar Chobits.
My favourite is baka, =p
And I, like most others, am more interested in Japanese culture, and the language, as well as the music xD
Asian Kung Fu Generation and Nana Kitade own xD

I know a few simple phrases just from watching Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist. I'd rather take Japanese in high school than Spanish though -_-.

Dattebayo had no english word to it. It's used pretty much the way "believe it" is used in the English verssion of Naruto, but because dattebayo has no real english word to it, they just use Believe it because it's the next best thing (and sometimes when you watch the japanese one, it *almost* seems like he's saying it)

It's sort of like in One Piece, one big word they use in it is "nakama", it has no English word, but it means a friend who's close to you, almost like family. The English version of the manga (Which is not edited in any way, apart from the translated sfx) uses the word "shipmate" or "comrade" when that's not the correct translation. The fansub groups that do it leave Nakama untraslated since it has no real Englush word, and the word has a huge importance in the story social wise. The English anime, I have NO clue since they butcher that to hell. :P

demo = but :D

It's easy to learn damnit from the first episode of Naruto, because he's like "Kuso, kuso, kuso!" and the sub says "Damnit, damnit, damnit!"

woo.
