With all this talk of getting the perfect girl, how do you get a guy. I am 17 and a half years old and never had a real boyfriend( the one did have dated me a dare).I have been told by guys that I'd be a really good girlfriend.I am also told that I am pretty I don't think so. I have a great personality i know that I do.My down fall is that i am fat but I am told that I am not fat I am cubby. One more thing is that i dress punk/emo and I love heavy music my favorite band is behemoth. The other day I realized how lonely I truly am. a couple of days ago me and my friends had to take the bus home home from a rally march. Anyways we get on the bus they all go sit on the bus with there boyfriend/ girlfriends. I go sit in a corner by self quite. Then my friends boyfriend is like Inderjit have you ever had a boyfriend. My friend lightly hits him and says she did but he was a total jerk and dated her on a dare. He laughs she hits him again whispers something in his ear. then he kisses her. I remained silent for the entire bus ride of an hour or more. When My stop came I got up looked at everyone, then on of my friends came off with me she's was like want to hang out with all of us tonight.Everyone's going to be there with there bfs/gfs. I give a half hearted smile and say what am I going to do there then. she's like you sure. I am like it's gonna make feel worse she's like ok I'll call you tomorrow smiles. I get off tear's running down my checks.Walk home. I don't have people to hang out with anymore becouse there busy. I really want someone to spend time with and stuff. lately it's been getting worse

Gill, I wouldn't stress too much about being single, particularly if you are into the whole heavy metal/alt music scene.

Trust me, when you can start hitting up gigs and club nights in that scene, things open up. People normally focus more on personalities and attitudes than looks or popularity. I have seen an oversized woman in her fourties wearing a corset and skirt with a teenaged pretty-boy goth in the corner of a alt clubnight before. Something that caused me to buy another drink, but that is beyond the point.

If you are stressed about your weight, just be sure to exercise. You don't have to loose it - it is just a matter of being in shape and being comfortable with your body. I know a lot of very attractive girls who are in great shape and still have large builds. Most of them have no problem attracting people. Indeed, a lot of the girls who I knew who were overweight through their teens have, how can I put it, nicely grown into their bodies as they got older.

It is just a matter of getting out there, maybe being able to go independently of your friends or making new ones, and being able to enjoy yourself. It is a lot easier to meet people when you are relaxed. Most of the good things happen when you are hardly trying.

The lonely thing is harder to deal with, but I will have to leave that side for now.

Gill, if you're worried about weight. Don't. It's not that hard to solve, everyone things "Oh god, I'm not perfectly toned, I have to spend the rest of my life in the gym " - But that's not true. A few years ago I was fat, and people used to laugh at me for that. But I started walking a lot more, putting a lot more effort into sports lessons, and such.. And when I joined my upper school I faced a 45 minute walk there and back.

Now some people call me thin. And trust me, I look *nothing* like what I looked like a few years ago. I've also started lifting random things around the house to build a bit of muscle, that's working too.

Just find an excuse to go somewhere far off without using the car, and spend a bit of time walking each day, it really does help.

I think your main problem is confidence though, it's hard to get confident with yourself, as I know too well.. But don't worry. Never be afraid to say something, everyone has a bit of humor in them and humor goes a long way. Years ago I'd be afraid to try and make a joke, thinking that everyone would think I was a pillock.. Now most of my conversation is jokes, and even the people that don't talk to me are fine with me.

Also, don't try and rush everything. Trust me, if you get to like someone, and you:
A) Tell one of your friends that you like them, and it gets out
or
B) Tell them that you like them

Straight away, you'll be pretty much doomed. Basically, first, talk to them casually, like you would if you ended up sitting next to someone you don't normally talk to on the bus, but they started talking to you. After a week or so, begin to get to know them as a friend, hang out with them, and most importantly, hang out with their friends..

Only ask them out when you're sure you're both ready.

First off, if it can be proven that you hurt the kid and caused his coma, then hurting his parents will do nothing but earn you more jail time. The only thing I can really say is offer a sincere apology and own up to what you did. And it would be best not to run, or hurt anyone else. More trouble is all that would cause, and that wouldn't help at all.

That would be the worst thing to do, hurt the parents. Using a shovel, of course you're going to go down with a murder charge. You're a prime suspect too since you're in a legal bind with them. Just wait out the lawsuit. Chances are, if it was self-defense, that the lawsuit will be dropped after a little time in court. If you just attacked the kid for no reason, God forbid, you deserve to be sued. Might teach you a lesson, no offense of course.
