I personally prefer the former version, but there are positives about this. Namely the quote/code boxes and the ordering at the top is great, but it needs to be filled up a bit more.

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/viewtopic. ... f=18&t=714

Technically this IS the former version, but someone ported it from us.

I need this style for phpbb3

It was created for bb2, and the creator didn't want to convert the style to bb3 so he made it open source. These guys were able to port the style but I am not sure how they did it, though I have been in consistent contact with the boards admin for three months its not getting me anywhere and all he tells me is "they are working on a way to share it"

This version is not the official phpbb3 chronicles anyway...

Jakob Persson just left his phpbb2 code as an open source and let people screw around with it. The guys at phpbb3styles.net basically ported our ported version. I'm guessing Persson stopped supporting phpbb chronicles ages ago.

Also, could you please explain how the heck this is going to open the window for us in terms of getting back our old hacks and mods back????

I don't know why the logout button and Message centre button are seperated from the user control panel button.

Other than that it looks good, i wouldn't say it looks better, but it doesn't looks worse, it's about the same..

Logging in should work fine everywhere again (fixed something there).

Now looking at all the changes that were made compared to our previous version and slowly reverting the annoying ones.
This is a big task, so please have patience.

I actually like it. I prefer the font and overall look of the forum, looks more professional.

However.. There are a few issues and I'll post more when I notice them:

The input boxes need to stand out a little more, perhaps a darker outline.. they don't look right to me.

Pretty basic, but the avatar should probably be centered, it looks out of place.

The little icons next to the threads (that show whether they are stickied or whatever) can sometimes have a star next to them.. yet it doesn't say what the star means at the bottom of the page.. isn't a big deal but it would be nice to know what it is.

Besides that I like it.

Those stars are there to represent active topics I think. I'm going to revert that to the glowing images we used to have though.

Ooh, okay :)
I don't think I should remove them just yet. Might come in handy.

The images work OK, The star ones are like the images we used to have on the Rv Chronicles that had that box in the corner. Everyone hated them and an admin removed them.

The font is harder to read but other than that and the avatars and titles not being centered I think it looks fine.

I like the stars. Now i know what I posted on already.

Is it just me, or is the link for chat in bold?

Also, the bottom still says "Chronicles phpBB3 theme ported by RuneVillage. Created By Jakob Persson for phpBB2."

It might be just a small point, but when you look at a topic with multiple pages, at the bottom of the topic are the pages listed (1, 2, 3, 4), now if you are on a certain page, it used to underline that number (like: 1, 2, 3, 4). That was a very fast way of checking on which page you were. However, it doesn't do so anymore

It might just be a small point, but could that be changed as well? ^_^;

Oh, and mogo, that has always been that way.

EDIT:
The block of text of
"You can post new topics in this forum
You can reply to topics in this forum
You can edit your posts in this forum
You can delete your posts in this forum
You can post attachments in this forum"
wasn't black before. It is harder to read now.
Once again a small inconvenience, but simple to fix (right?).

Yes, but that was because of the old style, I'm assume this would be ok now.
