That depends on if you want other people to think you really discourage debate in this game or not.
I'D LIKE TO THINK DEBATE IS RATHER IMPORTANT.

NOT MUCH FOR HIM TO DEBATE
YOU QUOTED AND VOTED
MAYBE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR VOTE IS IN ORDER

THATS A GOOD QUESTION

except i mean its a bit of a pointless one considering we dont know; thats the point

CORNELIUS

smells like padding to me, feigning activity

I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE
WHAT A DAFT THING TO SAY, CORNELIUS

MAN, Fuzzy Bunny THAT GUY.

Also, Huayra. It's always the guy who votes second.

ITS ALWAYS THE GUY WHO VOTES FOR THE GUY WHO VOTES SECOND

IF YOU'VE GOT A PROBLEM WITH IT, DECLARE THINE FURY IN BOLD PRINT.

I'D SHAME YOU WITH MY FINGER IF I HADN'T ALREADY CALLED FOR YOUR DEATH.

Regardless of the Debate about whether second or third Votes are more scummy, I'd Like to mention that his vote was following an obvious joke, and he Continues to pursue that train. In texas he would be dead by Now.

You'd think isolating the part that prompted the vote would be enough, but since you want it spelled out...

1.) We're playing with masks on. There's no how-who-behaves metagame to fall back on. There's no his habit or her trick to worry about. Now more than ever, since the first games we've ever played, it's all about the data generated.
2.) Debate, discussion, and even responding to jokes generates data.
3.) The order in which people vote for others, both when doing so against Mafia and when doing so against Villagers, has always been discussed in the past, though usually later in the day.
4.) Without any habits to link to names to fall back on, we have to pick something to push forward on.

So why should we keep up the "Okay, I don't know who's who, so there's no point attacking anyone who hasn't been scummy yet" bullshit when we have a venue to go down? Even a crappy venue is still a venue. If you've got a better idea to start working on, I'd love to hear it.

Until then, my vote for J1N stands.

Seems my ability to isolate quotes is slipping! :V
I'll laugh if anyone tries to treat that as a scumtell, though.

What exactly is the point of even mentioning the second part, EXIMUS? You've quite literally now drawn attention to a fact that I, personally, have never thought to try and analyze. Why?

OH WAIT I FORGOT WE MUST POST AT LEAST PARTIALLY IN CAPS

I will go on the record as saying the vote/s for J1N have merit.

i don't have anything to say about the 2 people who voted for me.
they are trying to frame me because other people posts make more sense but that not my fault.

mecha because you posted at the beginning and are being under the radar now and i want to know why.

Because, believe it or not, BBcode errors were taken extremely seriously as a potential scumtell for a few of our earlier games before identities were established! And since my entire post was based around going back to those ways to compensate for not having names to link to behaviors, it felt worth mentioning.
So, ARCHR, thanks for making me laugh. :lmao:

1) I don't really care who is who, that is not the way we uncover mafia. That is the point of Market doing this - we cannot use each other as we normally would, to extract information.

2) Yes, it does generate data. Never said it didn't.

What is not actually that helpful, though, is spending most of day two discussing whether the second vote for a player is more or less scummy than the third. Voting for me for pointing out that completely valid fact is downright ludicrous.

3) Yes, LATER IN THE DAY. After we actually have something to go on. Certainly not now!

So yes, I have a better idea to go on. We start voting for people who are grasping at non-existent straws to force a lynch. A villager wouldn't be pushing so hard with so little evidence so early in the game. A mafia would.

I find day one pointless, the only thing that can generate data is night one, where a possible detective or doctor can do things. And if neither says anything, then there is still no data. It's just YELLING FOR FUN right now. But hey, OMGUS soo...

CORNELIUS

Once there is something to really argue about Ill be there.

YOU SAY YOU HAVE A BETTER IDEA
HOWEVER YOU HAVE VOTED FOR NOBODY
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
YOUR BETTER IDEA IS FAULTY THOUGH
NOBODY IS PUSHING HARD FOR A LYNCH
NOT A ONE IS TRYING TO FORCE ANYTHING *IT SEEMS*
PEOPLE ARE DOING WHAT IS DONE ON DAY 2
STIRRING THE POT
ELICITING RESPONSES
YOUR IDEA IS TO VOTE FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE PLAYING THE GAME?

No need to put everything in capital letters.

I didn't vote as I was in a rush and I frankly forgot the name of the person I was addressing.

However, Huayra. I was asked for a better idea. I wasn't asked for a foolproof idea, I wasn't asked for the best idea possible. I provided my answer.

thank you for the clarification market.

broken bbcode is not a scumtell, it's just a sign that none of you dummies proofread what you write. it also makes posts hard to read...

my vote is not so much for that post as much as it is for this one:

from what i recall of mafia tactics, shaming someone by calling their well explained thought process "downright ludicrous" to get them to feel embarrassed and back off is a popular mafia method of discarding votes.
