OOC: I can get behind the tree in a split second. I'm just poking out from behind it. Get Arbiter and Fighter to safety.

Shooting his routine lightning bolt to stop the bullets, Lich noticed The Arbiter had thrown something at Lich. It bounced off the ground, and Lich caught it, and quickly threw it back. Mere milliseconds after it left his hand, it exploded, sending Lich flying with most of the blast hitting his chest head-on, breaking off ribs. Also, this caused the bomb arrow to fly right through where Lich had been a mere second before, exploding into a generic tree.

Coughing and shaking himself, Lich looked around weakly, and spotted the Arbiter. "I tire of this..." He held his hands to the ground, and focused. All of a sudden, red lightning sparked from his hands, and channeled through the ground, jumping up and ground in a zig-zag, tearing through the earth. The bolts were headed for the Arbiter.

Lich stood and began running towards Link. Big-Ears was just going to stand there the longer his allies were in harms way... and the green-one didn't have much armour on him to stop Lich's physical attacks, and wouldn't be able to avoid close-range magic. And the Arbiter... He was becoming a nuisence to be sure.

The Arbiter saw the lighting-bolt thing coming at him. Thinking quickly, he jumped into the air to avoid it, while firing several carbide shots at Lich’s head. Then he vanished into thin air as he activated his Active Camouflage.

I know, I know. He somehow does it all the time in the games. It helps that his shield is strapped to his arm (I think).

OOC: TIME TO REVIVE A DEAD RP!

IC: Lich saw that the man in green had readied his sword, and stopped his charge. Judging by how we was standing, he was ready to either do a powerful slash that would have some nasty momentum behind it, or a spin attack. Either would be bad if they hit Lich. "Don't think I don't have eyes, boy. I can see you holding your sword at the ready." Lich held his hand out and fired a Thundara. Even if the one in green avoided it, lightning would likely be drawn to his sword and thus channel through him.

EDIT: Didn't notice sm's post.

IC: The carbide bolts hit Lich's head, denting in the bone in a few places, causing him to cringe, nothing more.

BIC: Even though the undead sorcerer was several meters away, he was still barely within reach of a jump attack. Jumping into the air, Link raised his sword, which drew the lightning into the blade. The electricity discharged as the blade struck, whether ground or enemy.
OOC: As long as Link is in the air, the lightning will stay on the blade, which is a conductor, until a path is provided to the ground that doesn't go through the air (which has a giant resistance).

OOC: I was jumping when he stopped his charge and readied an attack, hoping to beat him to the punch. Like you said, lightning is rather fast, so I didn't beat him to the punch. My jump is in mainly response to his position and partly his hand raising, not his attack itself.
Plus a new character! We need to get this RP back on track.

In the meantime, during all the fighting, Sora's cellphone suddenly rang.

"Not now, I'm pretty busy here." Sora said into the phone with an annoyed voice.

"I know, I just called you to inform you I've sent some backup to help you." L replied, and hung up.

Not too much later, Link was suddenly flown into another direction, as if by some sort of invisible shield over Lich. Then, from behind a tree, a blue-haired boy that didn't seem much older than Sora appeared, dressed in a simple, dark purple robe and not wearing any sort of weapon on him.
"I'm Ray, pleased to meet you. Ryuuzaki said you needed some help?" Ray said, and looked at Lich. "Ah, that's why. Don't worry, I'll have this fixed in a bit."

"Your move first, Lich." He told the undead necromancer with a cocky smile.

OOC: By "suddenly flown in another direction [sic]," I assume you mean that I was sent flying backward. Link gets that a lot. Time for another strategy.
BIC: Getting up, Link decided that a ranged attack was probably a better idea against this foe. Taking out his Gale Boomerang, Link threw it to go in a circle around the enemy, trapping it in the whirlwind from the boomerang.

IC: Not bothering to conserve his magic energy, Lich fired another Flare in the direction of Link and the Gale Boomarang. The sheer force of the spell would be enough to send the boomerang flying back toward Link, moving maybe even faster than it was already.

OOC: EDIT: Apparently the Flare spell isn't anything like a flare in the real world. However, if I remember correctly, it pretty much ignores the trees.
BIC: Uh-oh. Link really hated this attack. Ducking partly behind the tree, he covered himself with his shield and let the wave pass. As the Gale Boomerang returned from its heavily modified course, Link grabbed it and threw it again.

BIC: The bolt of fire hit the Gale Boomerang back to Link, but the resulting wind also snuffed out the bolt. Easily catching it, Link threw it back toward the undead.

LIGHT, AND HEAT

AND BEFORE WE GO OVER THE SAME ARGUMENT FOR THE 50th TIME, HEAT AND FIRE ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.

AND FLARE IS NOT A 'bolt'. It's not some measly little spark or anything. It's a large WAVE of LIGHT and HEAT. That's like acting if you pour a bucket of water on a forest fire, its going to put it out. IT WON'T, TRY IT.

OOC: Pardon my outburst there, but I needed it. And I'm pretty sure I've said multiple times that Flare was Light and Heat earlier in this topic, so don't blame it on the name...

IC: Hearing the wind whisper again, Lich turned to see the boomarang coming back. "Stay out of this, I'll deal with you after!" roared Lich, firing a Blizzara. The blast froze the boomarang in midair, causing the wind to stop twirling around it. The boomarang fell to the ground by Lich, frozen solid.

OOC: Hm...bit of a problem. However, you can't fire another flare, as that would free the boomerang (which is a sentient being unto itself). Back to the old standby.
BIC: As the boomerang hit the ground, Link drew his sword and charged at his opponent, though he lacked a heroic quip to go along with the charge.
