Says the guy who's not voting for who he claims is Mafia. You're entitled to your opinion about the train against J1N, but to be honest, it's a pretty dumb one.

Anything's possible. I don't think I was in any real danger of being lynched, as Cornelius pointed out he admitted he had been mistaken without ever changing his vote. That was the weirdest part of the whole thing, he had accused me of having a voting pattern when I had only voted for one person and left my vote there. :?:

I don't think he was really pushing hard enough on me for such a 'frame' to actually work.

gamma, explain why you think the mafia are using this as a trap i dont see it anywhere near like i see you attempting to divert from archr here.

His thought process is obvious, I just don't think it's very likely. Your thought process, however, doesn't make any sense at all. Care to elaborate on this vote? NONAGON voted for me on nothing more than a gut feeling and some mixed-up info. It's valuable info that he was a townie, and it can be assumed he was acting in the best interest of the town. But I can't say his case against me was very strong.

Because when someone who already is voting for you on one day decides to vote for you again, using the timing of the vote is nigh on ludicrous. Just like CORNELIUS' rushing all the sleeping players to post as fast as possible, your thoughts on timing bug me. Almost ironic, since it was also your thoughts on timing about the order people vote in that bugged me to start the original train on you.

you are graspin at so many straws makin a mountain out of a molehill trying to point fingers at every1 if u think me askin where people r is "rushing sleeping players to post as fast as possible" and is thus suspicious.
that not even make sense. like no logic there at all.
there is no reason to do that at all for mafia OR 4 villager.
i'm just a curious person and i saw it had been post for an hour with zero post from anyone and i thought it weird y not a single person been online.
see.

i actually think all your reason r really weak, exy.

all of u guys r tryin to be convincin that jin is a mafia, and i not going 2 let myself be influence because it not seem correct 2 me.

also, icy ice where are u. mr. quiet.

I can't understand half of what you're saying, and the rest is contradictions, as pointed out already. CORNELIUS. This is based on the fact that I find it hard to believe that a townie would intentionally make their posts harder to understand. This applies to HUAYRA as well.

I've spoken already about the points levied against J1N but his responses thus far are at least somewhat satisfying. This thing has been blown a bit out of proportion.

It's worrisome that some people are still apparently being inactive even though market asked for activity. FOS ICE.

HES CONTRADICTING
HE FIRST SAYS THIS

Without wishing to antagonise you, you ARE wrong.
THE KICKER ABOVE IS THE FACT THAT HES TRYING TO CALL SOMEONE OUT ON CONTRADICTIONS

WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ABOUT NOW?

ALSO
J1N KEEPS SAYING HE WASNT DISMISSIVE OF OVERALL DISCUSSION
I GROW WEARY OF THIS BROKEN RECORD RESPONSE
NOBODY SAID YOU WERE BEING DISMISSIVE OVERALL
WE GET IT
YOU GET IT
YOU WERE HOWEVER BEING DISMISSIVE OF THE ONLY DISCUSSION GOING ON AT THE TIME

THAT IS WHAT WE ARE SAYING
NOT THAT YOU WERE PUTTING A HALT ON ALL DISCUSSION
THAT YOU WERE HALTING THE CURRENT DISCUSSION AND NOT TRYING TO DISCUSS ANYTHING YOURSELF

ALSO
ARCHR
WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND WITH CAPS?
HOW IS ALL CAPITOLS HINDERING YOUR COMPREHENSION?
CORNELIUS' YODA VERNACULAR IM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU ON

So being bugged by things is jumping to huge conclusions. Interesting. Couldn't be anything along the lines of "I'm probably going to die, and when I flip town, I'd like people to know my views on things". Nope. Not a chance.

See, here's where I think our viewpoints differ. Once upon a time ago, a "power player" said something along these lines.
Quote:
When I'm a villager, I try to prove others guilty. When I'm a mafia, I just try to prove I'm not guilty.

Now, call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that applies to far more of us than just whoever said it. So when you have J1N's "holding back" from a rush, your "scumtells" with no votes, and so on, it's far more telling than anything you try to pin on others. If you don't commit to your theories, it's going to bug me. And seemingly a lot of other people.

And no, you're not easy to understand.

Due to Runevillage being unavailable for roughly the past 12 hours, I am extending the day phase by 24 hours.
So, in total, the day phase will last a total of 96 hours and will end on Feb 29th, 2014 at 8:21 pm (-7 mountain time-Alberta)

For further clarification, when i'm off work, I'll add a timer to the days start post and the OP.

Kah-peesh?
Eff yeah!

bit of a mixup on my part. jailkeeper has no detection capability, he couldn't be breadcrumbing jack unless there wasn't a nightkill. since there was, he wasn't. you're good for me for now.

[b]unvote[b]

gamma, you're not necessarily good though. my thought process was caused by mixing role capabilities; i can't see yours at all now that mine wasn't valid

J1N: explain to me why someone continuing a vote train (just a vote train, NOT a vote train on you from one day to the next with only the kill info as new info in between is so suspicious.

Explain well, and receive a vote on MECHA! fail, and get one (1) free vote.

this isnt really a contradiction

what he is discounting in the first point is spending time as a collective specifically to figure out who someone is on their real account

he is not discounting the usefulness of coming to personal conclusions on the identity of players in order to be able to metagame

its not like he said 'i think you are ex rex'. think carefully about his intent

cornelius isn't hard to understand at all imo. the reason cornelius and huayra are posting the way they are is sorta obvious since this is market man's masquerade. if you do not know why they are writing their posts that way it's kind of grasping at straws because i think everyone else knows.

Yes, I do believe that's what lurking is. I wouldn't have been killed off either because that would have been my first day without a post. Does that make me mafia?

And with that we will see what else comes up.
i never said you were mafia or even that i thought you were. i said you deserved all the votes you would get.
i also never said you would get killed off, i said you would get a warning. other mafia games have usually taught us though that anyone that doesn't post in an entire day is probably not going to post in other days either. like ice. i hope he gets modkilled personally because market was really big on activity and mentioned it almost infinity times.

Yes, you can call it meta if you like. It is hardly a contradiction. I'm not wasting any time discussing who he might be, I was pointing out that there are certain indications from the playstyle as to who he is, and that is why I chose to say what I did to him. If my guess is wrong, then it doesn't matter, but if it is right then it would hopefully help not antagonise a stubborn player into voting for me regardless of the situation from now until the end of time itself.

You asked what I disagree with you on now... well this:

Quote:
ALSO
J1N KEEPS SAYING HE WASNT DISMISSIVE OF OVERALL DISCUSSION
I GROW WEARY OF THIS BROKEN RECORD RESPONSE

If you all get it, why are you all still going on at me about it? I fully stand by my dismissive attitude towards that discussion, but I shouldn't have to be the only one able to provide an alternative. At the time, I didn't have one. I just knew that we were onto a dead end.

Now I've tried to provoke a discussion - Mecha's poor reasoning for voting. Which I shall return to in a moment, after clarifying the other point you mentioned.

Agreeing with you 'somewhat' is because I am not going to say that I agree with every single thing you say wholeheartedly. I am not a sheep, I merely respected the two valid points you have made so far.

@Lara, since you requested a response.

MECHA wrote:
Well since no one voted for Nonagon, I guess we're back to voting at people who irk us. (or are inactive)

Yesterday had four votes for J1N at one point, so that's my best guess for a lynch if we get one.

You want to know why continuing a vote train is suspicious, given the little info we received overnight, it isn't.

However Mecha didn't vote for me D2. He was not part of the train, he did not just stick to voting for the same person. He voted for me first today for the reason quoted above, and it is up to you whether you feel that his reasoning is solid.

For my part, I don't think it is. Voting for the person most likely to have been lynched the day before, without bothering to make ANY analysis on what actually happened during the day (other than the vote count) or adding ANY sort of actual opinion... it just seems rather scummy.

Added to this, the fact that the only reasoning for voting given was "people who irk us", he then explained his vote for me not because I "irk" him, but because I am the easiest target. Essentially, that is exactly what a mafia would do. Go for the easiest target, get in there early, watch as everyone else falls for it and the mafia gets a free kill.

Think that addresses everything needed for now. My vote remains on Mecha.

Yes as soon as everyone knows there is only 2 votes needed for a lynch Its obviously a good idea to stop that from happening.

You know.

Lynching the person you were voting for.

oh good we are on the same page then.

fwiw recent posts made me more trusting of cornelius and by extension less comfortable with lynching j1n

meanwhile your day 3 posts are making it very clear that you want a lynch to happen but you don't care if its j1n or archr or whoever. being completely apathetic about who dies is not necessarily a villager trait bro. it makes you seem like a mafia whose only defense would be "look i am actively trying to help the town get lynches".
