Anyway, vanilla is better than chocolate because it is more versatile and combines better with other flavors, including chocolate. It forms a great "base flavor," of you will, upon which much can be added, like a secure foundation for an elaborate sculpture.

Except it's entirely possible to make up a role off the top of your head. Top had to do it for 24 people.

I'd be smacking myself in the head about the same thing (lynching a protective role) if not for one possibility. I earlier asked Defeat if he actually protected from Lynches, or from Death in the night phase. In looking for clarity, there's always the chance a role was made up on the spot.
... With that in mind, more of me is inclined to smack myself in the head anyway. I really don't want to keep doing what Thyker did to me, despite not noticing I was doing the same thing in a different context.

So. Who to lynch if not Defeat? Safe to say the most of you know I don't like going a day without a lynch.

Steely Mallon. He's always been "Ninja'd", always following someone's reasoning (primarily mine), and I don't think I've seen him take the initiative vote in a train on anyone. Had I not deleted the voting order when making that vote count, I could 100% confirm or deny this, but it is a fact that he's been a follower more than the attacker he usually is.
A couple other things that really make me wonder about his playing so far are his missing Thyker's "Metaga, m met meta meta" joke, and the fact that he COMPLETELY shrugged off Paidea's points once I had made my interpretations / responses to them.
The fact that almost nobody joined in on Paidea's suspicions leads me to think even more of the active majority is keen on sticking to Steely being overlooked.

Therefore, he has my vote. Here's to hoping for a more productive offensive.

You stated he was a protective role.

I stated his role wasn't totally clarified until after possible interference.

I also stated (quite indirectly compared to this post) I feel stupid for allowing myself to be more caught up in an offense against him than paying actual attention to my offense would've accomplished.

This, aka, a vote for kikori kid. I still don't get what's wrong with Defeat's testimony but you are just grinding into him like there's no tomorrow despite it being his first game. Are you just trying to get info on how new players play for future reference or do you seriously think someone that's never played Mafia before can answer all your questions with pinpoint accuracy? Because I doubt even I could do that. And what's more, Defeat claimed a Doctor-like role, and even one that says he can't protect whoever's voted for him, so if I believe that, why would I want to permanently shrug off his protection? And you keep mentioning nighttime lynches but I just see it as a new player mistaking the terms for Daytime Deaths and Nighttime Deaths. Along with what Thyker said, it feels like you're just grasping at straws for some reason.

Was* grinding him, and if he claims I'm confused about things time and time again, yes. I expect clarifying answers. That's not a mafia-game-only trait, to be able to clear confusion, so his rookie status isn't a safeguard against being unable to respond to questions about "why".

I'd already voted for him, so my incentive to stay under his wing of protection was already gone. Not to mention, if you clicked my objection or the spoiler with the same text, his role saying "If you vote for me, I can't protect you anymore" wasn't the best thing to say after getting onto me previously for having a "convenient" story to "stay off the chopping block".

Admittedly? Yes. There's the chance that he confused lynches with night deaths. That combined with that I now feel dumb for trying to push for a doctor-type death, you'd rather me keep trying to attack him?

This is all really confusing. My vote is going to stay on Kikori Kid...Even though if he's not lieing, his power will most likely hurt us Townies more then the Mafia. Unfortunatly, my role is also neutral based in the fact that it could be good for the town, but at the same time bad for it. Defeat, however neutral his role is, seems to have a "Doctor" power, which is great to have unless he's part of the Mafia. However, the chances that he chooses to protect a Townie rather then a Mafia is also greater. Kikori's role seems to hurt the townies more then help, and Defeat's role vise versa.
