I've already responded to these so called "tells" and haven't gotten a response to them....so, whatever with that. I'm not going to just keep saying the same things over and over.

Riptide's still got one more vote than Defeat, so if you're worried about a deadline hammer vote, you're a bit late. :| Also, I don't see a deadline coming any time soon. Top only applies them when the game has become stagnant, and we are far from that right now.

Also, let me go on a tangent.

Animal, I don't know how you have it in your head that Riptide is such a terrible player when, quite frankly, you're worse than him. I don't know if it's a recent development or if I'd missed it in the past, but somehow, I have no idea how, you have it in your head that voting for someone you don't like and then going "lol" a ton is an acceptable playstyle while Riptide's is not. Honestly.

Defeat:
Quote:
1.)Oh, yeah. I would know that you're the one to roleclaim early.
Leaving this for Kik, not a point I'd make.
Quote:
2.)Meh. I thought it was a decent response (for my 1st time ever playin' a game like this). Oops...I did it again (no my role is not Britney Spears).
It's not. :| Newbie or not you're held to the same standards, you have to explain your actions.
Quote:
3.)Who says an "importent thought" was needed at this point...You? Fine. No deal.
Kik's main point here was the "Random as random can get" response of your, not the "important thoughts." With the important thoughts though, Kik was saying, why are you saying you have important thoughts (Which are always necessary. :-s) and then not vocalizing them?
Quote:
4.)At that point, you were still all over the place (like I'm being accused of now). Hmm. Happens to the best of us?
Leaving this to Kik but I don't believe that being all over the place is something we've accused you of.
Quote:
5.)Here I feel the need to role claim. There was something you didn't pick up on. "I'm here to save." was the line...therefore...I am Metatron. The highest angel. Some say I'm the voice of God Himself. At night I can save 1 person from being lynched, and @ this point I ask the question: Can I save myself? I am Town affiliated.
6.)See rebuttal #5.
My comments on that above. But on that topic, I would like you to clarify, when you say "protect" do you mean from people attempting to kill others at night, is the mafia, or from the majority-based lynches during the day?

Also, I don't believe you ever elaborated on your "If I were mafia..." vote for Paidea, which I requested you to do.

It's not a decent response, eh? Meh. It's just a matter of opinion. My intentions were never to leave something unexplained, and if that happened, I apologize.

That said: The " In retrospect, if I was mafia, I'd be doing what Paidea is doing. " thing can't be made any clearer. Is it really that hard of a comment to grasp? I once again feel that I'm repeating myself....It stinks of Mafia to me. People started trying to find loopholes, so that Paidea could talk. The smiley face thing is genious. He can somewhat answer, yet still keep people guessing. It's clever. I don't know how else to put it other then....In retrospect, if I was mafia, I'd be doing what Paidea is doing.

I think I have vocalized the "importent thoughts". That's why I feel (once again) that I'm repeating myself. Bleh. It just makes everything more confusing...

As far as my role goes...I've already clarified...and am sick of the repetition.

:-k That makes it seem like you protect from night kills, not lynches. I say you need to ask Topsummoner about that one; the entire thought process is confusing.
The rest of today's events, however, I'll be getting to once home from work.

Another minor thing: who picks their role as 'lawyer' It's distastefully bland. Comparing it with the norms for the game, it looks like a made-up attempt at misdirection.

I'll probably put a deadline up at 20 pages. I don't want to scare everyone away with a never-ending Day 1, do I?

Oh, Tanks. I think the 6/13 vote was 6 out of the 13 needed to lynch someone. 13 being the majority out of 24 players. Not 7 out of 13.

Oh, you do Page deadlines instead of Time deadlines? Is this normal here? What if someone triple-posts like Tanks did earlier to force the day to end quicker? I would think we could check the time difference between pages 16 and 18 and just apply a time deadline of that to simulate 18-20 (...though I guess in the case of the triple post that doesn't actually solve what I pointed out, lol. Oh well.)

With Defeat, I feel more like the decision, If I was mafia, I would do that, came after the fact. That is to say, he picked out Paidea, didn't like how he has post restriction, and said, well if I were mafia I'd do that. Also I don't think he's really given much reason as to why a post restriction is scummy.
Ok, I understand your reasoning here; I guess I just didn't really get the vibe you did from his statements.

2.) A decent response is to make a statement wanting to cause the mistake to vanish? Even if I can ignore that one, voting for yourself is either a very, very obvious joke (usually in league with a Nocturnal Detective claim), a tantrum (see Riptide), or a very bad (in quality) sign of "guilt".

3.) Doesn't matter if it's "just me", because "just me" is still good enough to get something going. If you claim you're here to save, a villager, and intend to go along with the Village, there's basically no use in holding back what's going through your head. Exception being? Planting mafia traps.

5 & 6.) In comes me asking what your role is.

Here's what I feel is gonna get to hit home with Defeat, though...

Defeat wrote:

My "story"? Baker? That would have worked in a better time, such as just before being lynched.
Me getting killed kills off a random person each morning? Already discussed the lack of the "convenience" behind that. However, more to the point...

Defeat wrote:

..... .... ... .. .

OBJECTION!Curse the glitch of using Mia Fey and music together causing the objection to stop...

The Objection:
So I'm suspicious for an elaborate story that people from voting for me, yet your role clearly defines that anyone voting for you is unable to be protected by you? This is a clear example of hypocrisy! The only question that still remains unanswered is still in plain sight... the contradiction of your "protection". Do you protect someone each night, with a restriction of being unable to protect those who vote for you? Or do you choose a name each night to prevent a lynch on that person the following day, with the same restriction?

You got the "very, very obvious joke" part right....Congratulations....but you're still confused and questioning this. "I see. It was more of a joke than anything, but
learning of the No Lynch vote came out of it, so, cool." was exactly what I said after that...so  .

There was definately a reason to hold back what was going through my head. It was
all very confusing at first. What was going through my head didn't make sense. Now that all these "tells" I've done have surfaced. It's less confusing to me. You've obviously (to me) misjudged a newbie's mistakes for a mafia's stumble.

Last, and lastmost, you've obviously confused yourself, and are starting to confuse me. Go back and read the posts better. It'll help you out. WHATEVER with your "baker comment". Cool. It was a joke. Hah. Hah. It was your roleclaim after words that I was commenting on....It's funny you can make a joke like that, but I can't.

I'm pming about the whole "role" thing. I've put it as plain as I can, and you've raised some questions even I can't answer, so..we'll see.

Just because you're confused, doesn't mean I am. :?:

This is a very obvious joke.

Jackstick wrote:

:awesome:

(To any bold-text scrutiny, I am not forcing any Jacksticks to vote for themselves, nor am I changing my vote from Defeat. Purely an example within that quote.)

Asking if you can vote for yourself doesn't seem, to me, to be a joke. I doubt everyone else saw it as such, either.

Just because you're a new player, that doesn't dismiss your behavior as possibly being the same as a mafia's. Every player has just as much of a chance as the other (don't glare at me, Tahu) to be a mafia, and until you're dead and role revealed, there's no absolutely pure way for us to know what your "mistakes" are. You may know, but we don't, and it's up to us if we believe you or not. So it's up to you to make us believe you. Claiming "confusion" all the time doesn't help.

The only thing I remain confused about is what I asked you about, and suggested you PM Topsummoner about. What do you protect people from? You've claimed you keep people from being lynched, and you've told us you protect people in the night. Two separate kinds of deaths and two different phases of a "day". That is what we're both still waiting on.

I also like how the entire hypocrisy claim was ignored, given you got onto me for being "conveniently off the chopping block" when your roleclaim better achieves that image than mine did.
