Guys, this is normal Rip. We've seen this before.

Then again, did he ever give a name for his role? I'd expect that much. I can't find it; did I miss it? My votes hinges on this.

Muffin attak I can vote with no reason too.

As for Defeat, he's using (i think) reverse psychology to lead us away from the fact that he might just be mafia. Basic Mafia trait.
Defeat. As for Jaron, the reason this hasn't been adding up lately is because I was being a baby and throwing a tantrum worth of a 3 year old girl, as Lander puts it. But yeah, Jan, I don't get a reply, the person says it the next, not to me, to everyone.

....Unless you legitimately believe them to be town, then you defend them to the best of your ability.

On that note, I think rip is doing a pretty good job of trying to pick up his game. His reasons for voting Defeat are pretty solid, and he actually wasn't spoonfed them. I'd also like to say that if we lynch riptide and he's telling the truth about his role, we've lost a huge advantage. If a detective-esque (or watcher, etc) role dies before he can reveal his results, riptide can allow him an extra message and he can inform us about his findings. (some of them, at least)

Anyway, I'm ready to vote for defeat. He's still trying to attack riptide, which most people seem to have dropped. Also, historically speaking, the mafia often do vote counts and quote the rules to seem helpful to the town.

Also also, we haven't heard a claim from defeat yet (I don't think), so that adds to my suspicion.

So Riptide gets to ask a question, no more than ten words, to a dead person.
That dead person gets to announce their response publicly with a single post the next day. ... Doesn't seem too unreasonable.

My vote against Riptide would have stayed if he had said there would be no response, but his jumble of words from the first roleclaim match what he said on the second post of it. So, unvote. I still want to know exactly what he meant by "If I had Paid's role", since it still can't be read any other way than "I know Paidea's role". Should one be mafia, I will still think the other is. (By the way, Rip. How's it feel to pull through instead of let yourself get lynched? :3)

Lander, vote counts aren't a real mafia trait. Quoting the rules isn't usually the tell so much as trying to be overly protective / helpful to others. That said, he still fits the "on the fence and not wanting to take risks" face. Defeat, for recent and previous reasons.

Well, I've dropped subtle hits as to my Townie affiliation. It seems sorta pointless to claim on the 1st day.

And subtle hints don't mean a dang thing if they're not noticed. Not to mention, you've dropped both subtle and less-than-subtle tells of being mafia.

Whatever, man. I can't count on one hand how many mafiosos made vote counts, gave advice, etc. Not a HUGE tell, but something to keep in mind. Accumulation of evidence is key.

And as far as riptides comment "if I were paidea" I have no idea how you're getting what you're getting from that. I think he just meant "If I were scum I would be doing what paidea is doing." How that translates to him knowing paidea's role is beyond me.

@Defeat, you're on the right track but this is Upick and usually we can learn a lot by having people claim early. It's key in this game to find the holes in people's roles who are lying. (Scum)
