Crazy thought: Paid is Teller.

Recall this; Paidea got frustrated with me for posting that his current "restriction" seems like a repeat of when he was a cop-roleblocker-muter and wanted someone to do something against him. I suspect that's 'cause he has a self-defense role.

... I still want to try to figure out Paidea's role restriction. He can vote--he did it for Swifty--but he can't fill in other blanks. He can't be commanded to, and the restriction isn't lifted based on how many / few votes he has against him. We can't play Wheel of Fortune with his posts... And the only message of his we've been able to figure out thus far was his "Oh U. " response to Monk. But figuring that out didn't allow him to speak normally, so figuring something out doesn't seem to allow him free speech, either...

How many assists are there even left to try? He gave a confirmation that, in some way, we can help him...

Paidea, you seem to be able to answer us with emotions of anger, no's, smiles, and so on. My guesses are, and your 'emotion' in the smiley matters for response...
1.) Night actions affect your ability to speak
2.) Day actions affect your ability to speak
3.) You will be able to push this restriction onto someone else
4.) This restriction was put onto you by another player and someone else could / will be cursed tomorrow (i.e. it's not your role causing this)

That aside...

ON A COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE. Since Top isn't that fond of adding deadlines until the activity dies down, I feel alright about joining Thyker in on voting Riptide. Fingers of Suspicion don't exist to just say and not back up; explain yourself. Not to mention, you don't even KNOW Paidea's role, unless he told you. Options there? Cult, Mason, Mafia, Daytime investigation.

Either a) you are grossly contradicting yourself by voting for someone statement of theirs that you agree with or b) you're agreeing with someone and then and then voting for them for utterly undisclosed reason. Plus your are placing two completely unfounded FoS's, and then going on to ask Paid to do something we've already been having him do for several pages.

Dang, my idea for Paidea's mute didn't work that way. I hadn't realized he already had a vote on him (as kikori said his was the second.) Oh well; time will tell I guess?

I'm not sure what I did to earn a FoS...the only thing I can think of is that you feel my idea of Paidea's role would attract votes? Or that it's my first Lit. Soc. Mafia game...or something. (On that matter I'm so novice at it that I'm not sure what the positive side of outright posting your suspicions are? In Legends' that always seemed to backfire because then a Mafia would kill you to make it look like the FoS people did it to hush you up, lol. I assume Lit. Soc. has moved past that if FoSes are so common.)

When I get home from school tomorrow afternoon I'll reread the whole topic and place a vote (which since it's D1 will probably go for whoever has the most, unless I find something I really disagree with, which currently hasn't happened.)

It's hard not to when he plays every role like hes the devil

It's not like he doesn't have plenty of games under his belt by this point where he doesn't understand the game. Every game he comes up with something like "I had reasons but i didn't put them" or the classic "don't kill me today, I have a really cool role"

It's nothing against him personally, he just acts so dang scummy all the time. I mean i am glad to see him be enthusiastic about playing, but maybe he needs to refine his play style a bit? Maybe make a change for the better so he doesn't die so early so often?

Well I re-read the topic and didn't learn much except that it seems like everyone's voting for Riptide because you hate playing Mafia with him, because he didn't do a single thing wrong before the first two or three votes were heaped on him.

I'm not going to cast a vote for him based on that. That's like exactly why we never seemed to be able to get a Mafia member on Day 1 or something.

So though I said I'd place a vote, I don't feel comfortable bandwagoning Riptide and nothing else really catches my eye D1. The only thing I'm currently noticing is that Thyker's made three posts ("Lynch", a post poking fun at RipTide and then a post voting for RipTide with nothing else at all) and rockrocks just now posted for the first time 2.5 days into the game. Neither really justifies my vote though...

Yeah, I hear ya, lol. Riptide is nothing but a big noob. In his defense, he can't learn if he's lynched off early every game (or killed). I think he actually needs a chance to play for awhile through the game before he can really refine his playstyle.

Also, you guys can't be serious with this lynch. Do you honestly think he's scum, or is he just being his same old self? Just sayin'.



Big difference between Tahu and riptide. Odds are about 95% that tahu actually is scum ( ) whereas riptide is just acting like a noob. Tahu acts like that because it's inherent in him because he's been scum so many times. Riptide is just...well, riptide.



Then I'll get this party started. Thyker. You're pretty much right, and the only other player that's rubbing me the wrong way is Janrok.

Hearing that, you can't tell me that he was implying anything other than "I know what the role is". Not to mention he needs to learn to defend himself as well as actually play. He could learn the fundamentals of playing quite well by continuing to read any game he's lynched out of, and actually apply that to what he says and does. But until he stops acting scummy and / or choosing to vote for himself in a hissy fit rather than defend himself, I'm not treating him any different from anyone else.
