See above. The detective should avoid claiming at all cost unless they have a guilty or are about to be lynched. The (possible) vigilante should avoid claiming unless he is going to be lynched. Same goes for any other power roles. We don't want to trap our doctor on one player.

I actually agree with this, something is different about your playstyle thus far Kikori, you do normally vote to get people to talk but you seem a lot mroe jumbled thsi time like you're trying to get a train going on someone without actually having to vote for them yourself.

Well, problem.

I'm the doctor.

I wouldn't mind being latched onto one specific target if said target could actually, I dunno, DO SOMETHING USEFUL for the village.
Thus far, however, trying to go through with that has met suspicion. So, I get to go back to an old standby I'm fairly certain I stated publicly. If I get doctor, screw anyone else. I'm protecting myself every single night to be effectively invinvible if I can get you guys to believe I'm doctor.

For the metagame record, I've never had a special role as a villager before except the Nurse, and that had me unable to protect 'til the doctor died, which happened AFTER I died. So there's no previous game experience to go by for me having a special role. Have fun either believing or lynching your doctor.

Top, I never said you should claim. I said, going "Guys I have a role, don't lynch me" and not saying what that role is is very, very scummy. Even if you are able to protect yourself (which usually isn't common, but then again Tahu may not know this), there was no reason to claim. AT ALL. I'm really not buying into this Topsummoner lynch, especially since we presumably already have one roleclaim out on the table. Depending on what happens in the later days might put more scrutiny on Topsummoner (see: why aren't you dead?), but not right now.

Doctor works how doctor wants it to work, Thyker. I have a record of being attacked, killed, muted, roleblocked, etc. extremely quickly as a villager that keeps me from playing past day three. I was quite content to sit back and look for the people I thought should be protected, but a couple people decided me rolefishing for said people to protect was worthy of trying to lynch me.

Doctor don't work that way? I'd rather doctor work to keep me alive and keep me a threat to the mafia than the doctor be dead 'cause you people can't take me at my word.

Paidea, with a train started against me, you'd rather I stay quiet about my role and let myself be lynched for having to lie about a reason for rolefishing?

Steely, it wasn't a case of Top not acting scummy. It was apparently my rolefishing being scummier.

I tried it night one, Paidea. I protected myself. I'm not dead, so I know I'm not a CPR / Quack doctor. And I got no reply saying "I can't do this, make another choice".

Any more problems with my roleclaim?

... Let's see. Out of the me-Thyker-Paidea trio, I know I'm villager and I've claimed doctor. Thyker's after me even after I claimed, possibly to hope for a swing at getting me lynched despite only being at 5/8 at the time. I don't believe Paidea's being Paidea at all. So I'm quite willing to wager one of the two's mafia.
Trying to work out the reasoning against Top would go in too many circles. D: Majority =/= right, but Top only countered Rocks and didn't do much else to Steely or the third party.
I'm fairly certain one of the two between Rip and Tanks is mafia, too.

Time will help tell. 'Til then, there's about three hours left 'til most of us will be dead asleep, and since nobody's swinging over to Paidea and many others are against a Top lynch, rocks.

You were implying claiming vanilla townie is the same as claiming a power role. That's what I was referring to when I said claiming villager does not count as roleclaiming.

Kikori, even though he didn't tell you it didn't work that doesn't always mean you can do it. Like if you're role-blocked chances are you wouldn't be told, this may be the same in that if you protect yourself it fails without telling you.
