In my absence I traveled to Dengfeng, China, where I played live mafia with Shaolin monks for two weeks straight, only stopping for one meal per day and 5 hours of sleep. Master Shi Yongxin versed me in both basic mafia theory as well as advanced strategies of which I had never dreamed of (and for someone who has pondered probabilities of quantum mafia in their spare time, I didn't think there was much I hadn't dreamed of).

Everything I knew about bussing was flipped around. Reverse bussing and anti bussing were merged into one, and like my mafia spirit the two strategies became united. Wargazming was my new calling, for I knew that no one in the western world had experienced or effectively used it. I would not immediately unleash it, but save its powers when the time was ripe. Indeed, my mafia prowess was growing at an accelerated rate.

I was introduced to new roles the likes of which no mortal has ever seen (and I say mortal, because after everything I experienced I feel as though I am basically immortal), the likes of which redefine anything you ever thought you knew about simple mechanics. Indeed, the very model of counterclaiming was changed. Perhaps my most intensive transformation came in the countless moments I was subjected to three-player-LYLO. I became so accustomed to systematically pointing out the mafia or avoiding a lynch that I figuratively ate that stuff for breakfast.

Unfortunately I had to return home, to America, where many a mafia folk are blessed with the graces of my presence. I am of course happy to return to Runevillage, where I originally cultivated a reputation as the best mafia player of all time. Once I begin signing up and hosting games I am sure that interest will once again blossom for mafia.
