Did any of you see yesterday's episode? It was mostly clips from past episodes, and a few mins of new events. Nothing interesting though. It really felt like a webisode.

In the words of a classic Simpson's song:

"There is something worse, and it really does blow. When a long running series does a cheesy clip show!"

Haha, I wouldn't have minded the clip show, but I watched the "100 Moments" off The Office Season 5 DVD a couple nights ago and it had most of those moments in it. I don't remember ever seeing the rap at the end, though, maybe a shorter version…

Clips shows aren't the best, but I don't really mind them. This long between episodes and I really expected something better, though. But this is only one of three episodes being aired in January and February anyway.

30 Rock was great, though, and Community pretty good.

I didn't really enjoy the clip show. I didn't get to see Jim in any of the new scenes. It also sounds like Dunder Mifflin has really become an unrealistic place (especially with Michael as the highest ranking executive now, as Pam pointed out). It was a pretty mediocre episode overall.

But I did enjoy Community and 30 Rock though. Both were great and hilarious. Parks and Recreation wasn't so bad either.

So in short: Community > 30 Rock > Parks and Recreation > The Office (Yes, that's how mediocre it was for me.)

Office-fail... lol

I watched this weeks parks and recreation and it was not funny at all. Other than Aziz Ansari (check out his stand-up on Comedy Central if you can) in the bathroom looking up stuff about India, i didn't find the show that funny.

I think my order is 30 rock>Community > Office > Parks and Rec.

Yeah, this. The Office wasn't the best by any means (and has it really ever been a realistic show?), but Parks and Rec just sucked. They need to cut that show.

Hidden:
Any of you see the description for the episode coming up after the next one?

Quote:
Sabre's CEO tells Michael and Jim that one of them must take a step down and go back to sales.
:( Should be interesting.

I thought this past weeks Parks and Rec was pretty funny. Tom and Ron are just hilarious characters, they are usually good enough to carry the show.

Parks and Rec was just picked up for a 3rd season. Good news IMHO because it has been improving quite a bit.

Oh, really? That's good, at least it gives them the chance (I haven't seen the improvement as all too significant, but maybe I'm just not giving it a chance).

Big, it's mostly because of the Olympics. No sense in competing with them.

Not even a matter of competing with them, NBC is broadcasting the Olympics.

Well, yeah, that's what I meant, haha. They plug it enough (albeit jokingly) in 30 Rock.

For tonight:

30 Rock > Community > Parks and Rec > The Office

DJ Roomba and Liz's video tape were awesome. As for The Office, this is still a comedy right? Im all for advancing the storyline, but there wasnt anything remotely funny about the episode.

Really? I thought the unboxing/reboxing, Sabre (Sab-ray) song, Jim and Pam's daycare meeting, and Michael's reaction to David Wallace's unfortunate situation were funny.

I feel bad for David Wallace. :(

The unboxing/reboxing ans Sabray songs were decently funny and clever. Jim and Pam's daycare meeting was just painful. The "Jim and Pam realize they arent as cool and charming as they think they are" plots are contrived and annoying IMHO. The smugness of saying "we're nice people but you just like us" is incredible. The Michael/David plot was equally painful. I get the point they were trying to make about David losing his job, but that was still completely out of character. He's not an idiot, he wouldnt turn into an idiot 2 weeks after losing his job.

*Spoiler Warning*
Ugh, The Office was really awkward for me. First of all, if a company/branch is already working efficiently, why change it? Changing policy is costly. The CEO was also very unprofessional during the video call. She reminded me of Mom on Futurama.

I hate how they completely changed David's character. I can see that they want to show David being down after losing his CFO job but they definitely took it too far. I also thought it was pretentious of Jim and Pam to think and say that people automatically like them. That whole interview thing was awkward. Jim acted like a 10 year old after he realized he walked in on someone. Is this the first time he's ever done that or something? This whole episode just didn't seem realistic to me.

Anyway, this week's episode are ranked like this for me: Community > 30 Rock > Parks and Recreation > The Office
