I'm pretty sure they were fake, but I may be wrong. Regardless, they weren't cheap for NBC no matter if they were authentic or not.

Got to watch his last episode last night and I really enjoyed it. It was tough holding back the tears when Conan was trying to hold back his. He exited with class and great honour.
