Here, Tahu places suspicion on several people without voting any of them. Essentially, he is FoSing Thyker, myself, and Sweep, but not committing himself to voting.

Tahu1000 wrote:
After Thyker's long essay and Tweedy's equally long analysis, I'd have to say that Thyker looks the most suspicious out of my five FoSs.

With Thyker's initial post of "activity" he was already halfway in his grave - the basis for my vote on him was for his glaring contradictions. I really doubt that ONLY after Tweedy's back-and-forths with him made him the "most suspicious out of [your] five FoSs".

Tweedy wrote:
interesting that Thyker's only vote prior to today was for Tahu - two mafia trying to keep themselves separate?/quote]
Yes, I certainly believe so. What is interesting though, is that Tahu seemingly answers this question, although indirectly and subtly:
Tahu1000 wrote:
Which, incidentally, gives us no insight to who his allies are based on his voting pattern.

Very odd and out-of-place comment. I want to get Tahu1000 today, with a an FoS on TheAnimal and Sweep.

Coincidence that TheAnimal's first "serious" post is a tag-along vote for Thyker, a pretty much dying mafioso? Sweep had a chance to vote Thyker earlier, but didn't - in my opinion, he snuck it in just for the sake of "having voted a mafioso". I think that at least one, if not both, are mafia.

Hey, guess who forgot about signing up for this thread?
Me.

So, I read the past 21 pages after realizing this and Tahu1000 had the biggest slip up (wanting to nolynch instead of trying to get a lynch for the village) from what I've seen.

I think the votes are coming a little quickly on this tahu train. I don't like the feel of this train, and I won't vote just yet.

At this point, I think we have 2 choices.

1. Lynch someone suspicious based on the info at hand or

2. Lynch the inactives while the numbers are in our favor.

I agree with Tweedy's take from "yesterday", I think we need to set a precedent of lynching inactives even if "they don't see anything worth voting for/commenting on". You sign up for the game, contribute to the discussion.

That being said, someone being uncharacteristically inactive is J Assassin.

Also, before you sneaky mafia players bring it up, yes I was inactive for most of "yesterday". I went home away from college for the weekend, and thus no internet connection.

I think I [attempted] to joke about this last game and got killed for it, but I'm not going to vote for Tahu. Seems unfair that he gets lynched in the first three days of what seems like every game. I don't have any major suspects right now, so I'll quietly resume my vote on J Assassin.

On a different not, school has started for me, which means no more ten hour days at work, which means no more checking mafia when no one's on, which means marginally more activity from me. I'll be gone pretty much all day long, but I can at least get on a few hours earlier.

I don't know what it is. Either Tahu is the unluckiest person on the planet, or he is just naturally a suspicious character. Whatever it is, I can't overlook the connection between Thyker's vote on Tahu and Tahu saying Thyker's voting record doesn't mean anything (when he only voted for Tahu and Paidea).

Paidea seems to be really pushing for a vote on me. If/when you guys lynch me, please lynch him next.
Yes, I'm treating it like a foregone conclusion. Tweedy pointed out two things of note:
1. As far as getting a mafia role goes, I'm pretty unlucky. In the previous iteration of Mafia, I was a bad guy a good half of the time, more so if you count variants. I'm also rarely a normal villager; I've been detective twice and I think was only a normal villager once out of all of the base mafia games. Because of that, I don't seem to have developed a play style that relies on using information solely found in the posts of people. I don't contribute much beyond what my role gives me, and this game my role hasn't given me anything. That makes me suspicious.
About Thyker: What he said sounds plausible enough, and it might actually make a good strategy. At this point we have no firm reason to disbelieve him, and it naturally follows that, if he forgot who his allies were, then his voting patterns would be completely distinct from them.
Lastly, about the no-lynch thing: at that point in the day, there wasn't as much firm information pointing to Thyker. After some more excahnge between him and Tweedy, it became more obvious that he was a mafia, and so I (and a lot of other people) then voted for him.

Besides the fact he was a mafioso? Right...

No offense, but maybe you should, as Topsummoner once touched on, stop being inherently scummy. Logic such as "lynch me, but lynch so-and-so next" is the step in the wrong direction.

Sorry, I'm in college now. I'm trying to keep up with this as much as possible, but I had a lab report to write on Monday, a ten page paper to write on Tuesday and a book to read by today, along with a paper for that. On top of that, this isn't the only mafia game I'm in. If you want to lynch me for that, fine, but you're not going to get anywhere.

That being said, I pretty much agree with the Tahu train. Glad to see The Animal is finally taking some suspicion for yesterday's shenanigans. :>_<:

That's 7/10 votes on Tahu now...I'm a touch worried at how easy the train has rolled along. We have no time issues so no reason not to give Tahu a final chance to respond and defend himself.

My activity is excellent. Your activity is lacking.

Penguin has voted for me whilst basing his vote on someone else's play style, which is interesting.

I think basing a vote on someone based on somebody else's play style is a terrible idea, and that's why I'm voting for Penguin.

However, if it is a good idea, I will be making a reference to some other game that nobody can see any more and compare someone's play style who was Mafia to Tweedy, and vote for him.

Exactly. The lead (I assume you're referring to the whole Thyker thing) doesn't mean I'm mafia. I believe that what I said is a logical conclusion from Thyker's last words. As for Paidea's comment, he had already gotten lynched. He might have been lying to try and save his mafia buddies, but given that he only ever made two votes, it doesn't seem to matter much either way. Plus, by Paidea's logic and Tweedy's logic, Paidea also earned a vote from Thyker.
I'm not sure how I'm acting "inherently scummy," but I'll bet it stems from being mafia half the time. I believe I already covered this. I know from experience that nothing I say at this point would really do any good, and I'm pretty sure I'll get lynched. If I do, my death should make it obvious that Paidea is either mafia or misguided, as he's been after me since Day 1, long before anything everyone else is referencing. Either way, I'd like to see him lynched.
Oh, right, OMGUS vote: Paidea

Considering that my very first FoS on you was for a contradiction similar to the one in mafia 8, and you WERE mafia in that game, it would not be me being misguided but rather you not learning from your mistakes.

Or misguided because I'm not a mafia this time. If I had made the same mistake and turned out to be a villager, you would see it as part of my normal play style or just an innocent slip-up on my part. So what will you see it as this game?

I based it on a Mafioso's game. If we don't make correlations between previous Mafiosos and suspects, we have little to go on.
I think basing a vote on someone based on somebody else's play style is a terrible idea, and that's why I'm voting for Penguin.
Please see above.

I actually described how he played.

My vote stays.

@Tahu: We aren't attacking you because you have been mafia in the past. We're not just out to get you. You are being attacked for mistakes and scumtells, not percentages. Remember Hojonhu? He was a mafia on his last breath, and tried to take down as many as he could down with him. Also, he was telling the truth, why would he even say that? He benefits the mafia in no way, and only helps the village.

I actually agree with Penguin on this.
Only an inactive mafia would forget to send in a kill, so I'm looking at you Sammy, and my vote stands.

Tahu, you're still suspicious, but I'm much more suspicious of Sammy.

@rockrocks: But by that standard I would have been inactive the last two days and got kills in then. Where is your consistency?

@Penguin: If you don't step up your activity, I dunno. I'll be voting for you even harder. You have nothing to go on because you're creating an absurdly tedious link. You have absolutely nothing else to base your suspicions on. I'm quiet, yes. Noted. Thanks for reminding me. I thought that your crappy excuses for lynches on day one or two or whatever based on extremely poor accusations (which nobody got lynched for in the end... Paidea, Sweep and Rockrocks are all still here) weren't worth casting my vote on. That doesn't make me guilty. It's not my fault nobody can find a real reason to vote for someone. Accusing me of being mafia because of someone elses style of play is absolutely INSANE - people have completely different personalities and everyone acts differently when they're villagers or mafias depending on who they are. Why on Earth would I act exactly like Stip, I'm not him. Your link is tedious. Your vote is feeble.
